These three movies are out John wick is a solid action film with a great cast. im not hyping them out like the raid 1 and 2 but they are enjoyable movies with action in mind the equalizer riffs on man on fire but Denzel is good at what he does and the guest is somewhat kind of indie thriller with action I recommend any of these three but the best out of the three is John wick had a great time seeing last night

John Wick was awesome and the only thing missing was 3D. Equalizer was good until the end but then the whore could not even give him a hand job for killing every fucking person on Earth?

John Wick getting surprisingly good reviews, didn't expect that

The Guest is supposed to be a riff on Carpenter, been meaning to check it out

Equalizer looks generic as fuck tho

Also with Wick it is just a great looking movie just awesome cinematography, art direction and custom design. Its bullshit it probably will not even get nominated.

I saw The Equalizer on opening weekend with my dad.
Like the CYE snobs, I had no interest in seeing it. But my mom was out of the country, so I thought I'd take pops to the movies.
It was entertaining, much better than I expected. Hit Girl had the perfect amount of screen time.
Main villain was extra cartoony, but no real complaints otherwise.
Probably the closest thing we'll ever get the Tweak Da Leak story.

Saw John Wick last night in IMAX, some of the most fun I've had in a theater all year.
Just really solid action film in every aspect, some fantastic violence set against some well choreographed fight scenes (knife kill in his house, and him running over some guy and then shooting him as he rolls over his roof were personal highlights).
Surprisingly funny at times too. Entire audience was really into it.
Also, Keanu actually has a couple moments in here where he actually acts his ass off too, which surprised me.

Equalizer - Very good movie. Very entertaining. Not too many lulls in action, good character development.

John Wick - Awesome. Extra violent. Over the top. Keanu did great job. And it was a great blend of comedy with the violence.

The Guest had such a good premise and the first act had me...then it just goes totally off the rails. Like it's just fucking absurd. By the end I hated it.

^^ liked this one a lot. bout time Black Dynamite accepted that bmovies are his true calling in life, not bit roles for Tyler Perry

Liked the Guest but didn't love it. Kinda trips over itself by trying a little too hard to homage Carpenter, similar to how Grindhouse and its ilk tried a little too hard to emulate shitty 70s film stock. The movie didn't need to jam a hard synth que or a halloween-themed sight gag into every shot, and the climax feels too on the nose. Hard to hate on it entirely, the movie's heart is in the right place and a lot of it works well, just needed to ease up on the approach a bit.

Michael Jai White FTW :copy:

brother needs to jack Tyler Perry's rolodex and call some A-list Hollywood producers to put him in a dark buddy cop flick with Dwayne The Rock Johnson

Just watched The Equalizer. Thought it was fucking awesome, almost an 80's style actioner. I don't like Fuqua's stuff usually, but this was a ton of fun. Gonna have to add this to the collection. 8 outta 10.

Far from perfect, but that didn't stop me enjoying The Guest.

Way more entertaining than Wingard's previous film You're Next.

The Guest was a little heavy handed, but I fucking loved it. I want to lick the daughters ass so bad in that outfit she wore to the party.

Watched John Wick this weekend and it was one of my favorite action movies in a while. I love revenge movies.

Equalizer was pretty dope too. I dug it.

Still haven't had to check out The Guest yet.

Not sure if its been talked about around here but Man of Tai Chi was a very good movie that Reeves directed. It would have been nice if played more villains.

John Wick had a dope comic book style but got a little repetitive toward the end. Needed more weird characters and styled environments like the hotel, that worldbuilding is what really made it. Still a better spiritual sequel to Sin City than the actual SC2 tho.

so theon greyhound, Tyra and Russell from true blood weren't enough for you?

Weak complaints, this movie killed it.

you might want to double check on that casting

also, a character and an actor playing a character are not the same thing

he means Tyra from Friday Night Lights, not Tyra from True Blood. And Greyjoy, of course.
