yeah I can understand the thought process it took to get to that point but I also can't stop thinking about the alien/human hybrid from Alien Resurrection.
Guess it can't be worse than that at least.

positives for me in the trailer: the piano riff was very haunting and effective, the sound design was amazing (the hybrid creature they don't show at least SOUNDS awesome).

negatives: the vfx they showed looked pretty shitty so far (the dinosaurs somehow looked less believable than in the original that came out 20 years ago), chris pratt seems like he's playing burt macklin, it looks like a lot of the movie will be that generic super clean / kind of futuristic look / all-vfx-hardly-any-practical look that so many sci fi movies depend on nowadays.

overall: i want it to be great and i'm somehow still excited, but have a feeling i will hate it when i see it.

looks like a fancy reboot of the original. not gonna judge the CGI from a trailer I watched on my phone. but the whole premise is crazy. A giant Croc is gonna eat a shark dangling but not go for a entire crowd of people?

i don't think the cgi is ready yet in the trailer, missing some textures. they're doing animatronics too

and i hope that the hybrid mutant dino is wilder than any syfy creation, like its called velocidactyl rex or something

yesterday i asked my buddy that does compositing for a living if that's usually the case...

me: "do you think the final vfx will look better...like do things change after the trailer?"

him: "yeah they always rush out trailer shots 1st but i doubt it will improve drastically"

Robocop DID suck... compared to the first one, and because it had no blood. It sucked extra bad because it was ALMOST good

The leaked footage from Wondercon of Godzilla looked pretty bad compared the the final version. I'm hoping the same will be true
