Stephen King’s “It” to Start Filming in 2015

Stephen King’s novel-turned-miniseries It scared the shit out of many children and adults alike. For those who read and watched King’s horror story, you’ll soon be able to see an updated version of Pennywise the clown on the big screen. The It two-part series is getting the remake treatment, with filming to begin in the Summer 2015. The film is set to be directed by Cary Fukunaga, known for directing the first season of True Detective.

Fukunaga's involvement is actually the only thing I'm interested here. He is perfect for it, considering his experience in spending hours on meticulously building story and mood and then making the best out of a poorly written ending that nearly undermines his entire previous effort.

Yeah drizz for POTW no doubt.

Despite the horrible, nonsensical spider ending It was one of my most watched movies as a kid. The first half when they're kids is far better than the 2nd half IMO, but I'm excited to see what Fukunaga can do with it.

I love the original through and through. Surprised its taken this long for someone to attempt a remake.
Its going to be hard for anyone to top Tim Curry's Pennywise though.

Had no clue who Fukunaga was despite loving the piss out of True Detective. Will definitely check out of curiousity.

+1 Tim Curry being the penultimate Pennywise too.
