As far as the GOAT sitcom character goes, it's obviously

Voted George. I also feel its not necessarily fair to pit two live actors against a cartoon character. I think Jason Alexander and Ed O'Neil's performances, grouped with the material, is really what makes them such great characters. Homer gets an advantage from jump simply based on the fact that its based mostly on the drawn and written material. I recognize that the voice actor work has to be quality too, but some of the lines that George and Al have to deliver rely solely on the actor's ability which isn't relevant to the Homer assessment.
