really psyched for this, the book is great and it looks like they did a good job adapting it

I started reading about this on Grantland and then realized "why the fuck am I reading an Andy Greenwald" article and closed that shit.
Open to non-faggot opinions about this though, seems like it could be cool.

Any idea on how long before its streaming?

The BBC does not have a streaming site as of yet, correct?

first episode was cool. It's only 7 episodes so I'll watch the whole thing probably. Gonna watch episode 2 later today. It's about magic being restored in England circa early 1800. It's not Harry Potter or Downton Abbey. Kinda having trouble coming up with a good comp.

Once you get past the first episode and a half it picks up. Anyone else watch before I post more about it?

4eps in by now

It's dope and yea it starts a little slow, the book is the same way. First 1/3rd or so is dedicated to setting the stage and focuses a lot on Jane Austen-ish comedy of manners stuff about how magic is received in Victorian society, etc.. The action really picks up after that, especially once the Raven King becomes more prominent and by the end it a full on fantasy blowout. The show is following the book very closely so far, so it's unfolding just like that.

I read some reviews and it follows the book exactly. So you should be stoked man. Norrell became so annoying, glad he redeemed himself at the end.

Forgot to post about this after I finished but this was really great. Agreed it starts out really slow but the back half is wild as hell.
One of the smarter, well-written entries in the fantasy genre that I've ever seen. And it looks great and the entire cast is exceptional.
