My friend Brian told me about that one. He used to live with Garrett here in Ocean Beach. Said he was a nice dude. He said he doesn’t wanna watch the show but I just finished it. Sad and all kinds of fucked up. I didn’t know Humbolt was like that either. Looks beautiful there though.

It wasn't great, but I still liked it.

Russian Doll is better though. Haven't finished it, but I will soon, really good series.

Was never a Motley Crue fan, but The Dirt was mostly entertaining for your typical run of the mill rock biopic. Kind of dragged a bit towards the end though.

Halfway through the second season of Dark. I have to google about 10 things per episode in trying to understand 5 timelines and the intersecting relationships of characters with their future/past selves, but this show is so gripping and well-made. The ending of episode 4 is :ohsh:

Dark is basically the blueprint of a typical Netflix show. It's technically well made, tics the usual boxes (80s setting, mystery, ...) and draws you in with all the shit you just mentioned, but in the end has nothing to say, really.
So while it let's its audience feel clever for "solving" all that stuff, in reality it treats 'em like idiots.

That new Chapelle is amazing. I don't really like stand up all that much and I didn't enjoy the shows from a few years ago, hated the latest Chris Rock as well, but I haven't seen anything as funny since the mid 00's classics.

Best chappelle special since killing them softly. The reviews are terrible and missing the point entirely. He truly doesn't give a fuck and it's great.

I can't even think of anything else where the disparity between reviews and audience reactions have been so noticeable and revealing.
