Anyone watching Master of None?

Post by Random Sample »

It's the new Aziz Ansari show on Netflix. Only through the first 3 episodes, but it has been pretty good so far.

The previews look hilarious, heard mixed reviews from actual people talking about it. Will be checking.

I definitely plan on watching it. only feedback I've seen about it has been from two girls on facebook who loved it but they're both corny basic bitches so I don't really trust their taste in anything.

can't speak for those that aren't fans of aziz, but if you've enjoyed his last couple standups, you'll definitely like the show. i've watched the first four episodes and they've all been solid.

it's pretty good. i think the idea of it being super relatable is questionable. my life is nothing like that

I finished it over the weekend and I liked it. It's not like it was laugh-out-loud funny all the time but none of the episodes disappointed me. Some parts were easy to relate to, others not so much, but not to the point that I found it completely off-base or made up. I hope he does a second season.

it's pretty good at contradicting expectations. eg the nashville ep. eschews standard story structure to a point/is somewhat successful at it.

I like this show especially when it isn't all jokes. Reminds me of the feelings I got watching Tell Me You Love Me, just not quite as morose.

Finally finished this. Good but not quite as good as the hype, definitely deserves the Louie-Lite tag. It started off real strong but tailed off towards the end of the season.
Its significantly better when it's covering a new theme/story each episode. The relationship stuff at the end didn't do much for me, mainly because I don't think that Aziz and that boring looking girl had any chemistry so when the shit inevitably failed I gave zero fucks.
Will definitely watch another season if they make one though.

Overwrought script performed by actors who aren't skilled enough to make it believable. Regardless, still better than the vast majority of shows on today.

I like the lack of chemistry, and I thought it was partially intentional. Liked how earnest it was, part of what surprised me.

yeah sometimes when you cast people who can't act they just deliver a natural performance. worked pretty well

there is absolutely nothing overwrought about this show. It is practically the opposite of overwrought and ridiculously simple and straight forward

in fact THAT'S THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT OF THE SHOW

Jesus Christ you're dumb. The shit's contrived, strained. Both words are synonyms of overwrought. At times it's blatantly obvious that the acting is terribly unnatural due to the script being overwrought. I can't believe I had to write that. Fucking idiots.

Trolled!
