I've Seen Every Episode of...

Post by Dan »

For years I've kept track of every TV series that I've watched in its entirety. Torrents, DVDs, and Netflix have certainly helped in the modern era. While I watched a lot of TV growing up, I can't say for sure if I watched every episode of ALF, The A-Team, or even The Dukes of Hazzard in the pre-VCR/DVR era, and I really don't feel the need to revisit those. Besides, this list is huge already and growing. I may have even forgotten some that I've seen or I could get suggestions on what to add. Yes, I know The Sopranos and The Wire are not on here. I just never think to watch them. This thread shall be a reminder for me to change that.

* = continuing series that I'm currently all caught up with.

I don't watch much tv, either on cable or netflix/torrent, so this should be pretty easy for me to do from memory. The shows I've watched in their entirety are:

Nip/Tuck
Six Feet Under
Dawson's Creek
Carnivale (Wish there were more than 2 seasons)
PeeWee's Playhouse
Arrested Development
Breaking Bad
Dexter
The Killing
Freaks and Geeks
My So-Called Life
Twin Peaks

I think that's it. Will edit if I think of any others.

I've definitely seen many episodes but I doubt I have seen them all.
People are usually more shocked to learn that I have never seen a single episode of "Friends"

This, except I've probably seen a lot less episodes of Seinfeld. Nothing against the show, I just didn't keep up with it, and it seems too overwhelming to go back and catch up on 9 seasons of a TV show.

Two things that help me keep track of shows, so that I never miss an episode are a Chrome extension and an Android app.

Image

TV Watchlist is a great Chrome extension. You just add all the shows you watch and it updates when a new episode is scheduled. When you've watched an episode, you just click the star icon next to the title and it's marked as watched. This extension is especially helpful when a show you've forgotten about is returning. This is great for me since I watch a lot of British TV shows.

SeriesGuide is an Android app that I've been using for a few months. Basically a mobile version of TV Watchlist. I just consider it as a backup. It lets you favorite shows, so that you can put current running shows at the top of your list.
I highly recommend both of these.

Too many to list, I'm lazy and trying to catch up on Broad City right now.

Real revelation in this thread is that Bunz hasn't seen every episode of Sons of Anarchy a half dozen times already.

Speaking of, do you guys ever rewatch older shows that you've already seen? I've done Sopranos front to back at least 4 times, Breaking Bad 3 so far and will definitely revisit it at some point. BSG twice as well, and at least 3 for The Wire.

good question but people who love TV shows just love fucking TV shows. one of my sisters does this. she just watches entire shows. like that's all she's doing. she recently moved to az so her life will be cheaper so she'll be able to work less and watch more shows. it's just strange. she's one of those fresh out of college feminists that claims to not like shit because it's not gender equal enough and shit like that.

like really bruh? you didn't like xyz show/movie because only 1/6 characters are chicks? it's a fucking show about the military what the fuck do you expect? the writing etc is not quality because of this?

Since you didn't figure it out the first two times I deleted your posts in this thread, keep your stupid trolling bullshit to P&B. There is a zero tolerance for that in Curb.

Originally was going to give you 5, but couldn't do it. Went with 10 and still wasn't happy leaving out so many. Upped it to 15.
In no order.

Curb
Breaking Bad
The Office (British)
IT Crowd
The Shield
Rectify
Banshee
Inbetweeners (Original, not the MTV version)
Detectorists
Orphan Black
Gavin & Stacey
Fargo
Utopia
Louie
Saved by the Bell

This is by far not the greatest 15 shows of all time. Many of these shows are chosen for sentimental reasons. All shows that I never want/wanted to end.

I for one have too much adhd to have such laser like focus on a particular hobby. I'm even trying to read less these days because I could use that time to explore other interests.

maybe I saw every episode of ROC back in the days. didn't that only last a few seasons? I don't even think I saw every episode of In Living Color or even Beavis and Butt-head.
no Married With Children? what's going on here, anyhow.

I did binge watch The Wire, though. even though I barely remember most of the plot.
