amazing. the scene in episode three with the dog shit and his speech is so fucking good.

does a great job of displaying the shit and the humanity in both sides of the the industry.

Liked the first ep a lot, def enough to stick with this for a bit. it's pure 1% porn with 8balls of coke wrapped in pages of the WSJ instead of a script but it knows exactly how trashy and ridiculous it is, so it doesn't seem likely to try for pathos or morality or whatever other 'serious drama' shit can ruin good dumb fun.

Hated Costabile on The Wire for obvious reasons and we all know Gale was a huge bitch, but I kinda like the slimy lispsy sex fiend Wags character he is playing.

Loving the killer from True D as the supershark lawyer too, it's unsettling to see him cleaned up and dressed up and associating him with that previous character kinda makes the creepy menace inherent to his role here more potent.

You know, I'm a huge Damian Lewis fan, and Giamatti is dope, but this show is pure faggot shit. I couldn't even make it past the first half of the pilot. I thought that it was getting some god awful reviews as well - I am genuinely shocked by what I'm reading in this thread.

Let's see, what stands out in my mind - Giamatti being tied up and getting a cigarette put out on his chest as the series opener, Dick going skinny dipping, and jaxbro's wife from Sons Of Anarchy playing a psychologist sporting leather pants like Jim Morrison. Fuck outta here, man.

Lol I can't get past it, every time he's on screen I just picture a cleaned up Spaghetti Moster and it makes his lawyering that much better

The show has a lot of small pleasures like this, I think that's part of the reason I'm into it. Just dumb shit - making a point of reminding us everybody is either lowborn from the outer boroughs or a blue blood from the upper west side, Axe and his wife hitting the pax, Gil's gayass little twisted mustache, the OZ guy being the shifty corporate spy, etc
