It's pretty terrible but I wasn't bored by it. The production values are high and the cgi mostly looks good, aside from the main villain rocking a shitty rubber suit that feels more appropriate for a Toxic Avenger movie than a 2017 blockbuster. There are a few really cool action set pieces, the bear dude and the super-fast swordsman are legitimately awesome. I'd even say the underlying premise and the implied potential for a cinematic universe are promising. But the script is a total dud, in every way - impossibly confusing backstory, completely inert plotting, flat characters, incomprehensible plot twists, etc etc etc. Mind you, I was following the og Russian dialogue, not the English subs, so it's not like the translation butchered it. The version I watched was apparently a shortened 'streamlined' cut which might account for some of this confusion, but the thing is clearly just terrible either way.
