Free Fire (Wheatley)
Looks like a riot but could also be one joke stretched too long. The two TIFF reviews I've seen so far pointed in each direction respectively.
Supposedly inspired by the Wild Bunch and writeups are citing every movie with a high squib count ever made, but I'm getting more of a Shane Black-ish or Shoot Em Up-ish tone here, violence by way of Looney Toons.

Wheatley really disappointed me with his last two films. Trailer looks promising. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: Free Fire (Wheatley)
I remember reading in a review for a Field In England, that it was a shame that Wheatley set up all these strange men in a strange situation only to resolve it flatly and predictably by them shooting at each other. High Rise too flattened or completely ditched a lot of interesting nuance from the narrative in favor of stylized mayhem and absurdity. So maybe just making a movie that's all absurd shooting is the way to go for him.

It's a disappointment, according to The Guardian:
