Post by Dan »

Here’s what’s premiering for the month of November.

Stan Against Evil (IFC)

Stan Against Evil follows Stan Miller (John C. McGinley), a perpetually disgruntled former sheriff of a small New England town who was forced into retirement. Stan has trouble relinquishing his authority to Evie Barret (Janet Varney), the tough and beautiful new sheriff in town, but they form an unlikely alliance when both begin to realize things are not quite right in their quaint New England town. Together, they valiantly fight a plague of unleashed demons that have been haunting the town, which just happens to be built on the site of a massive 17th century witch burning. (Premieres November 2nd)

The Crown (Netflix)

At a time when Britain was recovering from war and her empire was in decline, a young woman took the throne as a matter of duty not desire. (Premieres November 3rd)

Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party (VH1)

Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg are teaming up together to throw a dinner party that will be the hottest ticket in town. Each will invite celebrity friends over for a half-baked evening of cocktails, cooking, conversation, and fun where nothing is off limits.
The unlikely pair, who most recently were on ABC's 100,000 Pyramid, have quite a storied history that includes joint appearances on Martha's talk show and the famed Justin Bieber Comedy Central Roast, among others. Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party marks their first co-starring project. (Premieres November 7th)

The Killing Season (A&E)

The Killing Season, from Executive Producer Alex Gibney, is an immersive series that follows documentarians Joshua Zeman (Cropsey) and Rachel Mills as they investigate one of the most bizarre unsolved serial killer cases of our time – the deaths of ten sex workers discovered on Gilgo Beach, Long Island. Authorities believe these killings are the work of the Long Island Serial Killer, who after five years remains at large. Forging relationships with cyber-sleuths, journalists and victim’s families, Zeman and Mills uncover connections that suggest Long Island is just the beginning. (Premieres November 12th)

MECH-X4 (Disney XD)

Ryan Walker mysteriously awakens MECH-X4, a giant robot built to defend Bay City against impending doom. When monsters begin to descend, Ryan recruits his two best friends and his brother to help pilot the robot that is their only hope of saving their town from mass destruction. (Premieres November 12th)

Joyride (Esquire)

Rapper T-Pain, professional racecar driver Brian Vickers, actress Mischa Barton, and actor Oliver Trevena hit the road in some of the most incredible new and vintage cars out there, pushing them to the limit in a battle to determine the absolute all-time best cars in a variety of categories. (Premieres November 15th)

Sweet/Vicious (MTV)

Starring Taylor Dearden (Ophelia) and Eliza Bennett (Jules), Sweet/Vicious is an offbeat superhero story for the millennial generation. Hell-bent on bringing justice to those who get away with abuse on their college campus, Jules and Ophelia take on double lives as wannabe vigilantes. Filled with clumsy attempts and missteps, the odd-couple pair of antiheroes must balance their new secret life with best, friends, parents, love interests, and the metaphorical monsters under their beds.
At the core of the fucked up, hilarious, heartbreaking world of Jules and Ophelia is the heart of the show: two girls, who never felt like they belonged, finding a home in each other… and trying to kick a lot of ass. (Premieres November 15th)

Good Behavior (TNT)

Letty Raines is a thief and con artist who is always one bad decision from implosion. Fresh out of prison, she's attempting to stay afloat. But when she overhears a hit man being hired to kill a man's wife, she sets out to derail the job, sending her on a wild collision course with the killer. (Premieres November 15th)

Shooter (USA)

Shooter is USA Network’s new conspiracy thriller based on the best-selling novel Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter, and the 2007 Paramount film starring Mark Wahlberg. Starring Ryan Phillippe (Secrets and Lies), the series follows the courageous journey of Bob Lee Swagger, an expert marksman living in exile who is coaxed back into action after learning of a plot to kill the president. Omar Epps (House) plays Isaac Johnson, an ex-Marine and former commanding officer of Swagger. Now a Secret Service Agent, he solicits Swagger’s expertise for a clandestine operation that has disastrous results. (Premieres November 15th)

Ice (Audience Network)

A high-impact, serialized crime drama that follows the Green family as they plunge into the underbelly of the Los Angeles diamond trade. Jake (Cam Gigandet) and Freddy (Jeremy Sisto) are half-brothers brought together by their father Isaac (Raymond Barry), the patriarch behind G&G Diamonds, and their uncle Cam (Ray Winstone). After wild-card Freddy kills a prominent diamond dealer, his brother Jake must bail him out and save the family business from a crime lord of the Los Angeles Diamond trade (Judith Shekoni). Jake must endure all of this while maneuvering amongst jewelry thugs, blood diamond deals, false certificates, the Feds, and Pieter Van De Bruin (Donald Sutherland), a ruthless Afrikaner diamond merchant who now heads up an Antwerp-based diamond cartel. (Premieres November 16th)

Undercover (BBC America)

From BAFTA-winning screenwriter Peter Moffat (The Night Of, Criminal Justice), the six-part series follows Maya Cobbina (Sophie Okonedo), a spirited and passionate barrister (lawyer), who is about to become the first black Director of Public Prosecutions — the highest-ranking public prosecutor role in England. But just as Maya’s life comes under intense public scrutiny, she discovers that Nick (Adrian Lester), her husband and the father of her children, has been lying to her for years. His web of lies threatens to destroy not only her career (and the twenty-year-long case she’s based it all on), but also the life she and Nick built together.
For the past twenty years Maya has defended Rudy Jones (Dennis Haysbert) – a death row inmate, falsely imprisoned for murder. Maya can only watch as her dearest friend and client refuses to go quietly, urging her to fight the deep-grained injustices that have tainted two decades of his life. Shaken, Maya returns to London, to her three children and husband, Nick (Lester) — a writer and a man dedicated to his family. Nick put his ambitions to one side to support the meteoric career of his brilliant wife… but all is not what it seems. Nick has a secret past life as an undercover officer, infiltrating political organizations for the Metropolitan Police. It was on one of these missions that he met Maya, fell in love, left the police force and went on to have three children – all under a false identity. Now, Nick is trapped in the compounding lie. Truths will emerge and Maya and Nick’s lives will change forever.
In following Maya and her life’s work, Undercover explores controversial and challenging issues that impact society on a global scale, with the narrative revealed over different time frames in both the US and UK. In tackling the hot button issue of race relations, the series weaves a tale of political corruption, betrayal, and miscarriages of justice. (Premieres November 16th)

Nightcap (Pop)

Pop’s new scripted comedy Nightcap is a laugh-at-itself, satirical look at the late-night TV landscape, set behind the scenes of the fictitious talk show Nightcap with Jimmy. Every week, A-list celebrities stop by as they would on any real-life talk show—only this time, viewers get an exaggerated look at the hilarity backstage.
Insanity, absurdity and urgency reign, and it’s up to head talent booker Staci (Ali Wentworth) to wrangle both her dysfunctional staff and the myriad of stars who bring their quirks, diva demands and peculiar antics to the set. (Premieres November 16th)

The Grand Tour (Amazon)

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are back with The Grand Tour. A show about adventure, excitement and friendship... as long as you accept that the people you call friends are also the ones you find extremely annoying. Sometimes it's even a show about cars. Follow them on their global adventure. (Premieres November 18th)

Search Party (TBS)

Starring Alia Shawkat, a dark comedy about a group of five self-absorbed 20-somethings who come together when a former college acquaintance mysteriously disappears. (Premieres November 21st)

3% (Netflix)

The world is drowning in chaos and misery. If given the chance to live a better life, how far would you go for it? (Premieres November 25th)

Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath (A&E)

Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath gives a voice to victims of the Church of Scientology despite public attempts to discredit them.
Leah Remini, along with high level former Scientology executives and Church members, explores individual accounts from ex-Church members and their families through meetings and interviews with Leah. Each episode features stories from former members whose lives have been affected by the Church's harmful practices, even well after they left the organization. Along with a team of former high-ranking Scientology insiders who understand the inner workings and policies of the organization, Leah gives the victims a chance to be heard. (Premieres November 29th)

Incorporated (Syfy)

Set in a future where companies have seemingly unlimited power, Incorporated centers around Ben Larson, a young executive who risks everything to infiltrate the all-controlling corporate world and save the woman he loves. In the process, he will take on the entire system -- with deadly consequences. Incorporated comes from executive producers Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Jennifer Todd. (Premieres November 30th)

There's been a lot of positive buzz around Search Party, haven't had time to check it out myself though.
