Honestly one of the best and most original horror movies I've seen in a long time.
Having a hard time coming up with anything it could have done better. Highly recommended.

Yea this was great. There is potential for a scarier horror movie or a more nuanced social satire, but blending these two things and pulling off that combination as well as this movie does is pretty hard and is probably its biggest strength.

expected funnier cause of key & peele dude. biggest lol for me was .
very creepy, good tension, good twists. the reveal was more scifi than i was expecting. but all the clues were there.

the whole thing feels extremely deliberate. i bet it started out as a scary dream jordan peele had. dude is biracial after all, and married to a white woman. appropriation of black bodies defines his core being.

didnt see it. not just ignoring the hype. I don't care about scary movies and the previews were like meh as fuck to me. then I heard about the hype and I'm like uugghh... and I just don't care.

Would have preferred it if the best buddy wasn't so over the top, but this turned out great regardless.

Perhaps it was slightly overrated by the "woke crowd", but this statement is the epitome of hyperbole.

No, it's not: the film is not good. It does not induce anything remotely related to dread, tension, fear, apprehension, anxiety, terror etc. The plot is intriguing, but he is obviously untalented in translating it for the screen. Attaching it to "WOKENESS" is/was a cheap marketing ploy to shill for a director who is a shill.

Glad I saw this film before the soy segment ruined it.

It's neither terrible nor great. It's an interesting take on familiar horror tropes with some good highs and awful lows.

The film is great, despite my obvious issue with it.

The Collider levels of virtue signal dick sucking it's gotten has put me off watching it again anytime soon.
