I think the way this movie takes specific pop culture elements and recombines them into pulp fantasy is really unique, and also it's just wildly entertaining.

In some ways it feels like the next step from Tarantino's original mo of lifting elements of old cult movies and recombining them with his own sensibility. Corrine takes elements of rap iconography, post-ironic internet culture, and just general american teenage dumbfuckery and mashes them up into this absurd stylized abstraction of a heist/road trip movie that riffs on the classic America anti-hero/outlaw tropes. And there are layers of subtext in there if you choose to read into them, about nihilistic hedonism and teen sexuality and cultural appropriation etc etc. It's not necessary to consider any of that to enjoy the movie but it's cool that it's there. I can't really think of anything else like it.
