THE TERROR - AMC series - RIDLEY SCOTT

I think I posted this book over in the sticky awhile ago.

AMC and Ridley teamed up to bring the Dan Simmons masterpiece to life.

For those who haven't picked up the BRICK of a book, the story takes place factually during the Royal Naval expedition to find the northwest passage in the 1800's. It follows actual people and true events that took place, but puts a twist on what happened to the ships and crew. Not to give anything away, but on the book jacket, STEPHEN KINGS is quoted "I AM AT AWE OF DAN SIMMONS" Coming from King, you can surmise what type of danger might be at hand.

I caught the first 2 episodes, and I gotta say. It's pretty pretty great.

I'm a fan of period stories that place at a time when things seemed simpler, yet way more fucking grimy. I especially like nautical adventures, whether its Her Majesty's Naval fleet (Master and Commander) or pirates (Pirates of Blood River). If you are like me, then you should give this show a shot.

also Cyran Hinds is just one of those actors who I love in anything he does

I’ve tried to watch it. First two episodes. Boring as fuck. None of the characters caught my interest and the pace is glacial.
