Begins is the best, Batman is second, Batman and Robin is the worst. That goes for every category except best villain, because no one is cooler than The Joker.

I think Jack didn't do a good "Joker," but it was a good performance.
His character was just a gangster with white makeup on

Batman Returns
I saw Batman Begins again and also just watched the first Batman and Batman Returns.
Here's my two cents on those three movies.
Batman Returns is unquestionably better than the first Batman. I don't think Burton was mature enough of a filmmaker yet. After Edward Scissorhands and a more competent crew for Batman Returns (especially Stephen Czapsky the DP he worked with on Scissorhands), the end result way, way more impressive than his first try.
Plus, I don't like how Burton turned Bruce Wayne into a clumsy idiot who needs Alfred to feed him and follow him around. Bruce Wayne isn't incompetent. If he is, he should be doing it on purpose.
One thing I will say: now that Nolan has gotten the whole origin of Batman out of the way, I think the next Batman film will be the best Batman ever.

I think burton did what no comic book movie up to date has done yet
actually transfer the comic medium into cinema almost flawlessly
when you watch batman returns its like a living breathing comic book
nolan is too stuck on trying to capture realism inside his movies so the comic part remains rather incompetent

Agreed.
I still really like Batman Begins though.

oh i liked it to
after watching all three its prolly up there with the original batman in terms of quality
but batman returns shits on all other batman movies
catwoman, penguin
and i think bruce's 'clumsiness' as you put it is more alfred being a father figure in his life

The problem I have with Burtons movies, is that a guy dressed in a bat suit looks really silly when he is fighting people. That's why I like how Nolan make him fuck people up with the quickness

I saw Batman Returns(completely) a couple days before I saw Begins, I must say I enjoyed Returns alot I think the combination of villains was amazing especailly DeVito( he played it so well, and I loved his humor), I just think "Begins" is how a Batman movie should be made!
