? for Film Students

just something i was curious about. how are actors such as will ferrel and ben stiller viewed in the industry. are they generally looked down upon or are they seen as merely people filling a niche in the industry?

I dont' know why this is a film student question, but both have box office draw. They both make money reguardless of the subject matter of the film.....

I don't know how either are viewed in the industry but...

I've worked with a couple of people who worked with Ben Stiller. They both said he was a complete asshole and an egomaniac. I wish I could remember one story I heard about him this AD told me a while ago. I don't remember the details but ultimately Ben Stiller refused to do anything over something very petty. AMAZING INSIGHT I KNOW!
