I prefer Brian to Stewie.

but if the show focused mostly on Stewie and Brian as a duo, it'd probably be the funniest achievement in human history.

all hyperbole aside, they're seriously funnier than everyone else on that show.

Awful character. Gimmick was funny for the first few episodes but doesn't stand the test of time, way too one dimensional. The evil angle was played by the end of the first episode, and the gay angle has produced maybe 5 good jokes during the life of the show.
