No more UPN and WB

CW network to replace WB, UPN
CBS, Warner Bros. announce plans for new network to debut in September.
January 24, 2006: 11:31 AM EST

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - Warner Brothers and CBS Corp. announced plans Tuesday for the creation of a new broadcast television network, called CW, that would replace the WB and UPN networks in the fall of this year.

The new broadcast network, to be called the CW Network, will draw on programming from both WB and UPN, including such shows as "Gilmore Girls" and "Everybody Hates Chris."

Prime time programming with target the profitable 18-34 age group, officials of Warner and CBS said.

And you know, these networks don't really show that many black shows anymore. At their inception, all the networks come through with black sitcomes because the Nielsen's ratings show that more black people watch TV than white people. Once they earn a decent market share, these networks drop the black sitcoms and return to the usual status quo bullshit.

Easily one of my favorite Married...With Children episodes ever and perhaps the greatest two part sitcom episode ever.

This sucks. The WB affiliate here just started showing re-runs of 8 Simple Rules from 4-5 and I'd just settled into my daily 4-5 wanking to the hot blond (and sometimes redhead) during the show. No consideration for their viewers whatsoever. Typical.
