Matchpoint.

Matchpoint is the kind of sadistic Woody Allen movie that only comes once in a blue moon. The last time was 1989 with Crimes and Misdemeanors and not coincidentally, that was arguably his last complete success. While Matchpoint isn

Now I havent seen "Closer" which from what I hear is a more realistic approach to infidelity but I liked this movie, like the fact Woody Allen isnt scribbled all over it. This movie was on point
A new era has begun and it goes by the numbers 1,3,6

It's good. I explain early character set ups in the review but nothing spoilerish.

but short review=good. Allen, despite selling like a mid 80's rapper on Koch has had his share of successes recently (Hollywood Ending was great and Melinda and Melinda at least redeemed him after his movie with Jason Biggs) but this is his best in a LONG time. it reminds me of crime and misdemeanors.

Hated Closer, partially because of Natalie Portman but mostly because Mike Nichols directed a boring script in a boring way. this is much better.

good review.

i didn't really like the film, however. And while I thought Scarlett was extremely sexy, her acting struggled. She overacted.

In the end, it was entertaining, but not very rewarding which was probably Woody's intent. The one thing i do think he followed through with was an element of unpredictablility. He certainly put a bullet into any notion of heroic/traditional resolution in the films ending.

I liked Melinda Melinda alot more.

lol didn't see this before.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've had Annie Hall on my netflix queue for a while now since I've read that quite a few people consider that his best.

It was a good flick, a bit too long, but otherwise good. It was fun to see Brian Cox enjoying his moments.
