What's up with that Keoma cover blatantly ripping off OUATIW?

^^ that's some german bootleg dvd or something, the american Anchor Bay dvd is legit as hell. I just couldn't find a pic of it that links

FB upload the soundtrack in the thread please, it's worth hearing just for a laugh. Seriously, maybe the only time in my life when i rated a movie and knocked it down a point specifically because of the music. Shame because the movie itself is rediculously badass

what the hell, while we're here:

Yeah I figured it was a boot. And that's a better cover than the anchor bay anyway from what I remember

You think so? I has some really awesome moments, and it's definitely different but I was pretty eh on it
although when I make my action movie I'm definitely ripping off Chaco's look

Edit: forgot to say the best part was def tomas milian in the bonus interview dissing everything and everybody especially the chick in the movie, meanwhile fabio testi is being super nice about everything

I'll try to spoilerize this:
Baby gets born, things are briefly happy, then bitch dies, the male townsfolk fawn over the baby for a while, fabio testi mopes, then comes to term with the baby, then abandons the baby and leaves it in the town's care, then he rides around for a while and eventually slowly comes across chaco and then slowly sneaks up on him and eventually shoots him in lame fashion and then he shaves, or maybe he shaves before he shoots chaco but whatever, and then he rides away, fin

two things

1: you said finale over baby being born. I just assumed you meant the final showdown happening at the same time as the baby being born. If you meant something else, my bad

2: I probably exaggerrated. Let's call it 12 minutes.

StormShadow wrote:The Great Silence is fucking ill, great Kinski performance and possibly the most depressing third act of any movie ever. GREAT movie.
Just watched this...and yes, this movie is ILLmatic. The end scene is what I expect to see but never do. This fim delivers. Dope rec. Thanks. Now im gonna start picking off more of these flics off...
OK, I just saw "The Great Silence", and what an incredible movie it is. This might get a :larry: dropped on me, but I could see this movie possible surpassing some of my favorite Leone gems.

It's a fun well plotted movie that has some really magnetic characters. Jean-Louis Trintignant and Klaus Kinski are really amazing here. What's even more impressive is that Trintignant doesn't say a word. Additionally, Frank Wolff was also good, and Vonetta McGee was just :ohsh: hot. Pretty much a 60's Beyonce.

I loved that a lot of the different groups: outlaws, bounty killers, Silence and the girl, and the sheriff all got significant screen time and thus had time to develop. As for the third act....I just loved it.

Yeah, I get that it's a bit sloppy in terms of camerawork, but I thought that it actually added to the film. I really can't think of much to criticize this movie about at all. It's got great characters, performances, gore, and titties. Basically everything you need for a badass spaghetti western.

Thanks for the recommendation Stormy and darkwing.

If you're a fan of spaghetti westerns in general I think you can cop this sight unseen.

This is probably a 9-9.5 outta 10 for me.

For me I would definitely rank it higher than Fistful of Dollars, Fistful of Dynamite and possibly For a Few Dollars More. So no, I don't think what you said was blasphemous. Glad you liked it.

Did you check out the alternate ending? :wtf:

i'd have no qualms at all with having it split #3 goat spot with Few dollars more, behind gbu and Ouatiw

1 GBU
2 OUATIW
3 Silencio/few dollars more
4 django
5 companeros

Yeah, would have been a terrible miscarriage of movie justice. I wish they had recorded sound for that scene as I would have loved to hear what the hell they're saying. Also, what's up with the armored glove? Total :naswtf: moment.

this is one of the wackest most disappointing movies ever

you go in expecting greatness, the opening scene seems to say 'youre in for a sweet spaghetti western' then shit gets really dumb really quick
