This looks insane, totally looking forward to this!!

Plus anything with Freddy Rodriguez, Micheal Biehn and Kurt Russell (not to mention) the thick ass Rose McGowan has to be dope.

Danny Trejo and his trenchcoat of machetes = this will be seen opening night. This looks to surpass all expectations I had for it...

Yeah he usually gets killed off with the quickness in every movie he is in. Good to see that he will make it through most of the movie.

something just occured to me

the movie is supposed to have fake trailers imbedded into the 'intermission' between teh double feature - that "Machete" thing definitely looked like a trailer.

very dissapointing if true

Oh yeah, Machete's obviously one of the fake trailers, and too bad, because that looked like it would have been one hell of a fucking movie.

Regardless, came prepared to hate it need be, but Planet Terror looked pretty cool.

i have a feeling that like with 99% of exploitation, the trailers are gonna be a lot cooler than the actual movie

one of the fake trailers is allegedly being directed by eli roth. this seems like a pretty cool idea actually, be pretty cool if they get miike or alex iglesias or even better, some old school horror dudes to do this.

i'm wondering if this is going to be all horror oriented though, the concept of grindhouse applies to a bunch of different genres

Well, Machete wasn't horror. And yeah, I think there was supposed to be like a kung fu trailer, a swedish sex comedy trailer, and some other stuff.

they should put in the trailer for the Bobby Digital movie

here's teh official word:

Between the two segments will be trailers advertising fake films. Tarantino has stated that fake trailers will be shot for a blaxploitation film, a kung fu film, a sexploitation movie and a Spaghetti Western film. Tarantino confirmed that he will be directing the trailer for the sexploitation "film" Cowgirls in Sweden. In an interview with Danny Trejo, the actor said that he will be in a fake trailer for a movie called They Call Him Machete.

Rodriguez- "I don't know. but it sounds pretty cool."
