I think so.

Tell me why I'm wrong.

1. None of those movies in his filmography at imdb.com strike me as memorable/noteworthy.

2. To Sir, With Love is up there with The Sound of Music as one of those extremely boring films that local TV shows on public holidays.

3. Name some modern classic movies that he's been a part of. I can't think of any.

Still, I didn't know he directed Ghost Dad. He gets props for that.

 Good one, Benny Boom.

But who the hell is Buster Keaton? Batman's dad?

All I'm saying is that Poitier is considered by many to be one of the greatest actors ever and yet there's only one movie of his that I ever hear about (To Sir, With Love)...and even that is boring at best.

Here's what....recommend 5 of his best flicks to me and I'll check them.

I'd genuinely like to understand why you think he's more than the token house-nigger of 70's cinema.

A lot of times great actors aren't always considered great by their filmography alone...
