ok, after watching this 50 times I have to say this could be fucking unbelievable...... I really loved how they have a choir singing "Power in the Blood" I grew up in the church of christ and I've always believed there are about 50 old time hymns that belong in films because they are eerie but at the same time very powerful... There is something about an acappela church choir that if done right can be spectral and haunting....

First I've heard of this, but it looks interesting, and Day Lewis is the man as everyone knows.

Forgot about this movie when I said No Country for Old Men was my most anticipated film. I'm not PTA's biggest fan, but this could be his masterpiece if he doesn't fuck around and get too cute.

I actually didn't want to be the first to say it: but this is not a good trailer... will probably be a good movie, but as a trailer not good.

I didn't think it was anything incredible, but at least they're trying something slightly different

When you weren't making cake, back in Hard Eight
You was on Marty's dick, I got your pictures I seen ya
Hopped on Altman ass
And went from Boogie Nights to Magnolia's trash
Then you dropped "PDL," switched your demeanor
Now you're on Malick's dick, circa Days of Heaven
Get your own style, Paul Thomas, stop pretending

Not a fan of PTA, he doesn't know how to edit movies. if all of his movies had about 20 minutes cut out of them, they would be so much better. instead they are zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

This movie looks cool, I will wait to see it on dvd, because I am not going to waste $10 on a borefest.

Daniel Day Lewis kicks ass though, and he maybe enough to get me out to the theatre, but I doubt it.

Truth.

If it comes out this year it's gonna be a really good year for movies with this, Eastern Promises, Zodiac, No Country for Old Men, Wind that Shakes the Barley, etc.

The Wind that Shakes the Barley was last year. Zodiac was OK.

Eastern Promises, No Country for Old Men, and this look very interesting, though.

Sure, it "looks" great.. but it looks boring.
I liked Magnolia alot.. this one doesn't pique my interest
