So I guess this is somehow involving Adam Mckay, Will Ferrell, Jody Hill and Danny Mcbride (of the awesome The Foot Fist Way) with Sol Starr from Deadwood in the lead role. These are all very talented people, so I'm curious as hell

I guess the plot is about a burned out baseball player who returns to his hometown or something. This whole 'sports star on the outs' thing is kinda wearing thin...

Danny McBride is killing shit lately, I've been renting movies that he is in, simply to watch the outtakes and hear that dude go off just improvising funny shit.

McBride on the Hot Rod outtakes is extra

He'll probably have some hilarious shit in Pineapple Express since he's on the movie poster.

Was I seeing things or is HBO going to have a show about vampires as well? I thought I saw a commercial for "The Hunger" or something like that; could be wrong.

the hunger is that vampire movie where Cathrine Denueve dikes out with Susan Sarandon, maybe they were just showing the previews that? I hope they're not trying to remake it, that's just dumb

I can pretty much guess what the script is gonna be like. He's gonna reunite with some stank whore that used to bone in high school, all the while longing for the days when he used to high five dudes in the showers.

holy shit, this was actually really really really funny

at first you're like "ok, all the jokes are just 400 bad words in a sentence, they aren't trying very hard" but just some of the sequences of events are hilarious

the end absolutely killed me, him throwing that chick off the jet ski and doing donuts spraying water in her face

This pilot was supposed to air in June of 2007. Did it ever air?
They had a six episode deal, those got filmed? They're re-releasing this show? This is just old? I'm really fucking confused.

got around to checkin this out yesterday.. fuckin hilarious.. at first all the swearing makes it feel kind of cheap but i'm definitely looking forward to more.. the scene where they're blowing lines is the backroom was great, the way he was acting while zooted was hilariously accurate.
