I dont have the actual single for the Panhead track. Its on a 4 track 'Platinum Breaks: Reggae' 12" along with the Cutty/OGC tune, another Cutty track and a tune called 'Things Change'
the other side of that Bounty Killer 'Babylon' is the same vocal over Fugees 'Ready Or Not' - shout me if you want it

what was the other Cutty track on that Platinum Breaks 12" ?was it a reggae-hiphop track?

Here is the british one, Rough and Rugged. Looks like the electra one was more focused on rap while this one give some time to a little roots/lovers rock as well. Billy Jean was a pretty big hit supposedly, I'm surprised it's not on the US one.
1. good love tonight
2. answer me
3. golden touch
4. hello y'all
5. rough and rugged
6. know fe chat
7. who the cap fits
8. lady in my life
9. billy jean
10. mama used to say - this one isn't actually on the album, but it fits well well the rest of it and is from a single of the same time so what the hell....
any more 80's shinehead would be appreciated as well, especially if somebody has the actual singles with the dubs included
thanks for posting the british version drizzle.
another difference i noticed btw the 2 is that on the UK version, 'Know How Fe Chant' is over the Sleng Teng riddim, while on the US version its over a hiphop beat....
here's a link to the Shinehead "Jamaican In New York" (1993) CD Single....it's not reggae-hiphop, but i thought u might like it drizzle....
01- Jamaican In New York (Radio Mix Without Rap)
02- Jamaican In New York (Album Version)
03- Jamaican In New York (Radio Mix With Rap)
04- Jamaican In Newyork (Southern Fried House)
05- Jamaican In New York (Dancehall Style)

thanks man, i already have this actually
I've noticed that his electra stuff i've heard generally has a more polished and commerical sound than what's on the UK album. This might explain why they put a different beat on Know Fe Chant, the dancehall version doesn't exactly sound radio friendly.
