I agree, this beat and the production values are nice. The only thing I have issues with is the change ups. It's like...okay, switch up the sample, maybe put in some drum rolls...nope. Same shit over and over again. Shows me a lack of effort. Ya know? Put in some more work, or use some creativity...but then again...RZA would loop the shit out of some tracks and fans swear up and down he was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

all the big bridges and elaborate chorus switch ups and all that shit aren't always necessary and at times can take away from the lyrics the MC is spittin'....

that's why people loved early Rza cause his shit was grimey and gritty and it was the perfect template for a lyricist to get busy....

dope feedback, the beat from it's conception was more complex, but i was asked to tone it down alot for just that reason.

I agree, sometimes all the switch ups and complicated drum rolls and layers of sound can take away from the lyrics.

Beatsmith, I have to give you props for your drum kits and drum patterns...always on point.

None of this bad, but it's just kinda bland to me. I wish i could hear what the original version of this beat was like, cause this stripped down version just don't do it for me.

I kinda wish Reef had done this track alone cause the other two dudes arent on his level.

Yeah, wish it was a Reef solo, but the beat fits him perfectly. I wouldn't want anything else cluttering it. The Screwball comment is on point. Solid shit.
