Unsigned Hype

Nah,but I know they had a dope Bobbito promo that used Large Pro saying,"and watch him run for the stretch"[from Friendly Game..] and Q Tip saying,"down with the Bobbito, you need to get near it"[from a freestyle] for the hook.*breathes*godmc wrote:i've been looking all over this forum for a high & mighty track that was posted recently; i think it was an unreleased demo. that shit sounded so good. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE FUCK I'M TALKING ABOUT?
Damn!Great thread.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say - from dude's voice and flow, and the fact that one of the joints is called Darcmind Inc, - that one of the cats from Legion of D.u.m.e is Darcmind. He later went on to do an album that got shelved but was finally released within the last couple of years.Just saying,if you didn't know.
Again,great thread.

Do you perchance recollect whether it was upped as a single track or part of a compressed folder? I download everything posted, so chances are very good I have it somewhere.godmc wrote:i recall someone posting it very recently in one of these threads. all i can remember is that the beat had some sort of soft jingle/ringing to it. i may be wrong, but i do remember it being dope. I would love to see the letter I had published in the '96 issue with Suge on the cover. Biggin' up De La just around the time 'Stakes Is High' dropped. I was amped picking it up and seeing it had made the cut, of all the letters they were probably getting in a given month. I've long since lost that issue, if anyone has it and could hook up a scan, I'd be mad appreciative!

That's also his current album. He hasn't dropped anything new since then and still stands outside Fatbeats selling it alongside Creature of the Triflicts, who at least has two albums and a book. He also performs every two months at the NYC Fire Your Boss Party.Trademark wrote:whatever happened to Marvelous? Nah, I wish. The guy from the DJ Premier blog got it from the http://jrockisstreetwize.com site, which has that demo available (though only to stream). But yeah, I agree. Some of the demo versions I prefer to the album cuts.
