I had hundreds of tapes from late 1993 to early 1998,but don't have 'em no more. Too long of a story to get into and nobody would care to hear it anyway. Now the only shows I have are from previous threads on Philaflava, some from konstantkontakt.com,and a bunch from recogtherealblogspot.

It's too bad ALL the links on konstantkontakt are deaded, hopefully Stretch can fix that at some point. I know Blockhead put up a few gems and some demos some time ago as well, which were incredibly dope.

I'm the opposite. Like the music but find the banter a bit teadious at times.

Any other sources for these recordings, got all the KK and http://recogthereal.blogspot.com/ once...?

here's a show with DJ Noize as guest from 9/16/99. These tapes were sold at Turntablelab back in the day. Unfortunately the quality is pretty crappy. Did my best to polish it. I also have a tape with Roc Raida, will upload that now as well. There were no tracklists included but it shouldn't be too hard to make out

yo and that recogthereal blog is golden, lots of early Tape Kingz tapes, thanks for that link.
edit: forgot to include the covers. Here they are

Good looks on these shows, boogs. Since you posted that cassette cover, it reminded me of how they used to sell tapes[I'm pretty sure they sold some CDs of the shows, too] like that at Fat Beats back then. I bought one titled "The Space Shuttle Show". It had one of the older covers, still in black and white, and was from I think around January 95. Shit was real ill. It was one that I remembered taping, but I had fell asleep and missed a lot of it. It definitely had a couple of them Kool Keith and Sir Menelik cuts on it. I'm sure they made more than one copy of each show so someone has to have it out there.

Well, while we're at it, maybe someone can id this track that Bobbito played. I already posted it in the weekly request and track id threads to no avail.

Verge wrote:Here's a joint that you probably remember because it was one that Bobbito played every week for over a month in maybe 96 or 97. It even had a remix that they played. Get ready for one of the dumbest descriptions for a song you've ever heard. I know cats think I'm an idiot for requesting this in the past, but if you heard it you'll know what I'm talking about-
Black Prophet - Extra Mile- Not sure if that's the artist name or track title, but dude calls himself the Black Prophet in it and before the hook, he says "cause I go the extra mile." The hook itself is sampled from an old song that goes,"Yah,yah,yaaah",..."yah,yah,ya-yaah". Random lyrics I remember from it-"my son, keep ya head up like a giraffe", "I be catching the holy ghost over and over","I'm broader than Broadway in broad daylight","cause I go the extra mile".
Well, I found the remix, so now maybe someone will be able to point me towards the original mix. Don't get me wrong, this remix is ill.
I'm gonna post in the Song IDs and Weekly Request-
?Black Prophet - Extra Mile? Remix

I'm just not sure on the artist name or track title. I've never seen any info out there about it and I'm thinking it had to be on vinyl. They played the original version multiple times and then this remix.

Here's another joint. Not a CM Famalam but a Stretch and Bob KCR from 2/5/98- I figure it would fall in here. Got some more shit coming soon.

2/5/98- Side A
http://www.zshare.net/audio/57937450c76001b3/

2/5/98- Side B
http://www.zshare.net/audio/579388820aef1e52/

I listened to both- some treats. Stretch showed up late so Cucumber Slice was playing some joints- freestyles and some rarities. Some great comedy too at end of side A.

I caught these after a quick listen...

Side A- Tame One freestyle over Funky Child, Sir Menelik joint, not sure, Nice & Smooth joint, not sure, Mass Influence?, Reflection Eternal "Manifesto", Mobb Deep ft. KRS One, Organized, DJ Honda ft. De La, Diamond ft. Sadat X- Feel it (such a dope record), Neek the Exotic ft. Large Pro "Exotic's Raw"- JOKES

Side B- Rakim "Saga Begins", O.C. & Main One "Can We Get Down", DJ Honda ft. Black Attack, freestyle and talk with the Counsil, Das Efx joint, Mad Skillz "Lick the Balls", not sure, La Darkman "Heist of the Century", Mr. Complex joint, Defari joint?, Cam "357" quarter of it

Aiight, I separated the Scaramanga demo and tried to fix the sound quality, but I don't hear a difference. This is how it sounded every time Bobbito played it so he must not have had a good copy of it. I could see One Leg Up or someone getting this released. I would cop that.

here is a Stretch & Bobbito from 10-28-93. It may have been posted before but this has the tracks separated and it's off of CD. If this was posted before, my bad.
