Not true.

Nine times out of ten, the best version of a DVD/BD release tends to be only available in the US. In some cases certain movies are only exclusively available to the US.

Not available anywhere in Limey Land. Thanks Warner Bros.

A couple of recommendations.

Three of Pete Walker's best movies.

British Horror Quadruple Feature (Frightmare / House of Whipcord / The Flesh & Blood Show / Die Screaming Marianne)

Price: $22.49

This R1 set is definite value for money. The R2 set is long OOP and going for silly money (

Very limited release. I don't really appreciate the pressure tactics Anchor Bay are using to sell this classic, but this might interest some of you folks in the US.

I got mine at the Fremont store. They don't have many locations, most are in Northern California (Redwood Originals).

How does this look on blu-ray? I already have all the collectors edition version DVDs of the trilogy, is it worth upgrading?

I bought the set but actually haven't gotten around to watching any of them yet. It got good but not great reviews and should still definitely be a definite upgrade over the dvds.

Ya I checked out some reviews on Amazon and they said the transferes weren't all that, and in some spots didn't look very good at all. I mean, there's gotta be a reason it's only 25 bucks right? I think I'll hold out for some sort of collectors edition where they do the series justice.

I wouldn't hold your breath for new transfers if I were you. With the current home video market in serious decline, I doubt these are going to be rereleased any time in the near future if at all. Especially since these are owned by MGM which has been in a bad financial situation for a while now.

To be honest though I pretty much just find out about these through slickdeals.net or bluray.com. Occasionally I'll get a lead through a movie forum or find something on my own but those two are the best places.

Lots of great deals this holiday though, been spending way too much money.
