All New Limited & Re-Issued Releases

Post by Verge »

The forum is too crowded up with new limited releases, because of how over saturated that market has become, so I figured anybody could just use this thread from now on to update us on the latest dope limited/reissues.

Today, finally an extremely ill one was announced:
Image

SIDE A.

1. OUTSIDERS [Buckwild]
2. WOULD YOU BELIEVE? [Buckwild]
3. KICK A RHYME FOR THE RECORD [Mark Pearson / John Mcgann]
4. STRETCH AND BOBBITO PROMO (intro by MC Serch) [Eclipse]

SIDE B.

5. BROTHERS ARE FAKE [Mark Pearson / John Mcgann]
6. THAT BAD MOTHERFUCKER [Eclipse]
7. SUGAR [Buckwild]

All tracks recorded in 1993.

SNIPPETS of all tracks on the EP can be heard here:

http://www.zshare.net/audio/79747515b9c954c6/

SENDSPACE LINK (for download)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/5fb218
NOTE:
After any talk about this OC jawn, then maybe I'll merge, delete, or copy and paste the other threads on the more recent limited/re-issued releases into this thread. Or maybe I'll just let them fall into the obscurity of our back pages.

I've already pre-ordered the OC and the Horror City. Can't wait. The price IS type steep for the OC, but if OLU was still around, I'm pretty sure they would've got their hands on it and charged 80.

or here, if you're outside the states:

Great to have these in CDQ, only $16. Classic shit that I'm sure many bellends would be mad that it's on CD now, instead of only vinyl. But if you got the vinyls then you still got the instrumentals, so don't be sad.

I'm not sure if they sold out yet, but "Wicked" asked me for the info last night, ordered, and his order went through fine. He also was able to confirm that this is actually PART 1 in a 2 PART EP series. Probably should've just made it a full LP, but what do I know, I'm no label dude.

You have to send an email to: nosleeprecordings@gmail.com

Put this in the subject:
NSREP-002 O.C.

Give him your paypal address, full name, shipping address, quantity, and whether you want regular or express shipping.

Thx a lot for the info  . I don't understand why they don't make this official. Does No Sleep Recordings got an official homepage? Their myspace-page hasn't been updated for a long time and I don't know their facebook page...

No prob, Knowbody. I don't know why No Sleep doesn't have a blog or something.I don't even know if he is on Facebook.
Sites like T.R.O.Y., VA, and DWG, are the main places that these labels get most of their sales from. Not to mention our T.R.O.Y. blog and other blogs like Crates Of AG, Werner Von Wallenrod, and Unkut. I'm sure I'm missing a lot, just naming the first few to come to mind.

That's a partial relief. I'll hold my breath until the tracklist to part 2 is made available. I'd hate to think they would leave out "Visual Picture", among others.

word.
PopsUK wrote:How much is that OC?
Too much, $50. Way too much but cheaper than the old Lord FInesse No SLeep EPs. And it's pre "Word Life" OC, so it's kind of necessary to some of us. Be a lot nicer if they just put the 2 EPs onto one record and made it $50 or less, but it is what it is. I pre-ordered and if I have the dough when Pt2 comes out, I'll cop that too. If I have the dough, that is. Pretty big if there.
And is OLU no more??
afaik, they are on a temporary hiatus due to personal/health issues. They made a statement a couple of months back about it. They said they plan on returning to that last series as soon as they can, but that if anyone is buying them with the promise of getting that "Nas Demo Tape EP", that promise is off the table at the moment.
:fail:

Here's another limited out of Philly:
http://www.another14u2nv.blogspot.com/
Cats from 100x. Poison Ladd SLR / Beats In General / MC Googly
They got a few things up there that are type pricey. It depends on if this is really for you if you wanna spend that kind of dough. The latest one is 2 separate EPs for about $50 for both together. One is an MC Googly EP and the other is another Poison Ladd SLR EP.

And here's an affordable EP re-release with 3 bonus tracks:
Dope Folks Records presents the Mixmaster D EP ft. Flipsyde.
Mixmaster D was one of the cats from the Bizzie Boyz who wasn't Ski.
$20
Here's their email:

Oh, I'll have to check that, too. thanks!

Also, dope folks just started a blog with a store front and are planning on more releases:
http://dopefolksrecords.bigcartel.com/

Big ups to my people at Six2Six that been keeping the prices low and the quality high, too.

Two archived Constant Deviants double LPs on the way:
http://thesix2sixshift.blogspot.com/
One is "Concrete Utopia" from 95-96 and the other is from 97-99. Possible package deals, we'll see what happens with this one.
Details on pricing are still up in the air. In todays game, though, I'm sure they'll keep it affordable.

This was posted by "abrotherwithsoul" at the VA forums:
abrotherwithsoul wrote:I am pretty sure that 99% of you guys ain't familar with the name BENEFICENCE ג€“ same here until I heard about this New Jersey based and Artifacts affiliated MC from El Da Sensei when Maze and me were working with him on one of the tracks for Maze's forthcoming EP (watch out!).

BENEFICENCE already released a 12" in '94 ("Hostile Lifestyle / Sucka's Brevity") and a very nice 12" in 1998 ("Thin Line / Low Profile Man") and three albums so far with the help of El Da Sensei, DJ Kaos (Artifacts), Mr. Len and others. He was also featured on the last Diamond D and El Da Sensei album and on the remix of "Money" by The Returners together with Torae and Kaze.

BENEFICENCE is currently finishing up his 4th album to be released by the end of the year. And now comes the interesting part: The mighty Diamond D produced 5 tracks for the album, LKB, a producer from Switzerland the rest. Guest appearances include Diamond D, Frank Nitt (Frank-N-Dank) and Wise Intelligent.

The lead 12" "Heavyhitters / Royal Dynasty" off BENEFICENCE's soon to be released new album is out now! The a-side "Heavyhitters" is produced by Diamond D and the b-side by LKB.
BENEFICENCE pressed up a limited quantity of 250 copies of this 12". If the demand is big enough, he will press up more, but who knows. For now it's just 250 copies. And just like his '98 released 12", he will handle everything on his own.
BENEFICENCE also still has some copies of the "Thin Line / Low Profile Man" 12".
The only chance to get your hands on a copy of his releases is to get in touch with the man himself.

Please have a listen to his '98 released "Thin Line / Low Profile Man" 12" here:
Thin Line:

Royal Dynasty:

If you are interested in purchasing these two releases, here are the prices:

USA incl. shipping:
$10.00 per copy / $17 for both vinyl releases

International incl. shipping:

$20.00 per copy / $27 for both vinyl releases

Contact BENEFICENCE / paypal address: beneficence2010@yahoo.com

Many thanks,
Benny
I ordered last week and received the records in 2 days. I actually copped both just for the new Diamond production, which is ace. The hook ain't great, but the joint is cool. The 1998 record ain't too bad either.
