Anyone dig Wooden Shjips? Kind of of slurry psychedelic San Fran band that would seem to fit in here. Anyway, I just discovered them and found a few live sets on this page:

http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Wooden_Shjips/

Wondering what are the best albums to checkout, preferably as LPs.

Dos is their best album imo, but the other 2 are good as well. West especially The singles compilations are solid too. They haven't really put out any obvious clunkers

thanks for the live sets, didn't know that was around

Brant Bjork's 'Jalamanta' album has been providing the summer feel goods.

Saw Ty Segall Band on Thursday. Best show I've been to in ages. He's a great frontman.

Some stuff I've been digging alot lately that I wanted to share:

Blackfeet Braves - S/T (think Allah-Las with the surf turned up. Dreamy psychedelic scrawlers with no weak track in the bunch)

The Growlers - Are You In Or Are You Out? (Surf/psych/pop/blues from '09. Absolute banger from start to finish. A seriously overlooked album)

Ty Segall - Ty Rex (Ty covering T. Rex. Nuff said hopefully)

This. I know almost nothing about this genre other than the fact that I love it.

Mr. TimLaska, is there possibly any way a PM with can be sent my way with a downloadable link? I would certainly appreciate it.

it's on spotify, as is most things on itunes.

i say "most" as flylo's last album still hasn't shown up, is one of many examples.

i tried listening to that juggs album, but i couldn't get into the first song and i want to check out the rest of this page since i haven't yet.

riffs are nice and fuzzy, but the vocals and direction of the music are too clean for my tastes. i liked their first EP of years ago, though.
