Austin was awesome. It usually is. Definitely one of my favorite spots to play in.

How bout something a little different.
My boy Jer (of the party fun action committee) has been doing this Sir Jarlsberg character for years now. It's a real love it or hate it kinda thing for rap dipshits. Anyway, His second album is coming out and he put together pretty much the craziest posse cut of all time (I made the beat) featuring Sir jarlsberg, his chums, Lateef the tru speaker, Aesop rock, Me (as the gnome), Baby Dayliner , Kimya dawson and Jon Gibson (Jer's dad) , who has worked with composer Philip Glass for decades now.

This is awesome. There's no way 90% of people on here don't hate it.

So far two people have replied. Two people love it. I'm not very good at math, but that seems to be 100% praise. I laughed. And trust me, I wanted to hate it just based on dids liking it so much.Blockhead wrote:It's pretty much made to be hated here.Dids wrote:This is awesome. 3 for 3. Your video is Tony Gwynn in his prime.

Re: Blockhead thread (New solo album drops today! 11/18)
Preferred method of purchase Bandcamp?
Re: Blockhead thread (New solo album drops today! 11/18)
I'm not picky. Whatever works for you. Bandcamp pays the best (I think). But I'm not splitting this with anyone so the money all comes to me eventually.Brougham33 wrote:Preferred method of purchase Bandcamp?

It's done, mixed and mastered. Hopefully be out in the first few months of 2015.

Good to know though, will patiently wait a little Bit more for that album. Thanks for update!

Re: Blockhead thread (New solo album drops today! 11/18)
I've been listening to the "Bells" album and I like it. The sound is very Blockhead-y but there are moments where I lose the feeling that it is a Blockhead album. And I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing. All I can really say it's something new. Is it me or the music I don't know.
This record has sparked an urge in me to re-listen his old records. Mostly Music By Cavelight and Downtown Sceance. And maybe Uncle Tony's.

I'm doing an AMA on Reddit in about 45 minutes.

Since you guys are my internet bro's, I expect you to be cool and shit. Or just ignore it altogether, which is fine as well.

New song/video by The Mighty Jones (a group I'm in). My work on the scrabble board in this vid is next level.
Not rap shit but, hey, I guess I'll put it in this thread.

http://www.tinymixtapes.com/chocolate-g ... rumblepack" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You’ve been living a lie. All these years you thought that hip-hop producer Blockhead — known for his work with Aesop Rock, Cage, Illogic, billy woods and MarQ Spekt, among others — was just a regular NYC dude in a baseball cap. A BU dropout who went on to parody fraternity life as one half of Def Jux’s Party Fun Action Committee, along with Jers (now known as Sir Jarlsberg). The truth, my friends, is far more sinister.
In reality, the Party Fun Action Committee was no joke. It was a secret society with plans to brainwash the masses and possess beautiful, otherwise perfectly rational, women (Bayli Mckeithan of The Skins and Joanna Erdos of The Midnight Show) to join them in their conquest for world dominion. Aiding them in their dastardly plot is The Giraffes’ Damien Paris, whose guitar shredding channels the audio-hypnotic spells of Blockhead’s knob turning to ensnare distressed damsels across the land. Meanwhile, Manhattan’s most wicked rap producah peers down from his ivory tower, cheating at Scrabble and cackling at the misery of the worker drones below as they unknowingly toil like ants to build upon his hill of wealth.
