Who knows man, I didn't catch anything giving a heads up.

I'm a BB Stan so I love this show so far. But if this turns out to be Saul gets punked every episode I'm gonna be disappointed.

Yea I'm trying to figure out if he really has some allergy to electromagnetism or it's just in his head. The 'take off the space blanket bit' points to the latter I guess.

I liked this a lot but wish they would stop openly pandering to BB stans and let the show find it's own legs. Tuco was forced even though they used him pretty well, the visual style is exactly the same (desert shots were a little ), even the story arch of a smart but weak guy who's at rock bottom finding a will to power feels similar. If they are going to bank of familiarity with the character, they should keep the origin story to a minimum imo.

it's interesting watching Jimmy fall deeper and deeper into shit because you know he is going to end up owning the nail place, having his own building, rolling in the Caddy and running the city. classic compelling storyline: introduce cat, put cat in tree, see cat get out of tree

the back story on Mike is being told nicely. he hates fucking cops

Episode 3 was great. I think this show is really going to stand on its own. I really like the direction it's headed in.

I'd agree some of these early episodes are better than the early eps of BB when it was finding it's groove but the setup doesn't seem able to sustain the BB level of quality as we've already seen the whole "Mr Chips to Scarface" transformation, if this whole show is just another transformation of Saul from two bit scammer to failed lawyer to ultimate sleezeball lawyer I think it will become a waste.

try not to compare it to breaking bad. you'll end up being disappointed. try and judge it on it's own merit. the cinematography is great and the music score is magnifico

Does anyone else think the intro is pretty weak?

Third episode had some solid suspense. Man have they made Saul awkward, he's slowly getting out of that awkwardness, but I like that he falls back into it.

yea..intro is weak + I don't see any great story arc or great characters like WW,Gustavo,Jesse or Hank..it's a dud..I really wanted this to be good but I just don't see it happening..hope I'm wrong tho

cmon dude... this just isnt fair

great story arc in the first 3 episodes? give it some time to develop and get legs
great characters? jessie & hank were pretty comically bad and 1 dimensional in those early BB episodes (maybe even the first season or two)... Gustavo didnt even show up until the end of season 2.. im pretty sure we are all glad we didnt write BB off after 3 episodes

you should give it some time before calling it a dud, dude

i really expected this show to suck but im actually digging it thus far... the use of some of the BB characters feels kind of forced (especially the Tuco thing at the end of ep 1)... but that was expected from a spinoff from one of TVs most beloved shows... its something that will probably keep happening through the life of this show unfortunately

the idea of a spinoff of a HUGELY successful show never sat right with me... but im seeing some potential in this now... im on board

Way too early to make these judgements, and stop basing all of your analysis on breaking bad comparisons.

So, wait are people saying the show is wack thus far or that the opening credits are weak?
If the latter, who gives a shit? If the former, shut up and give it a second.

the breaking bad intro was one of the greatest things ever. I can see the fact that this intro is significantly inferior....significantly

obviously its a great show. it's our job to debate every single aspect and break it down
