I love both in terms of entertainment, skill and execution and the first thing that came to mind in comparing the two is personality: TMI feels soulful and laid-back which describes Pete & C.L.'s personas while Street Level feels more raw and aggressive, which describes The Beatnuts' street attitude. I grew up and went to high school with both types of personalities.

Depends on what mood I'm in to choose between one or the other. Another set of albums that makes me wonder what happened to dope artists making an effort to make their albums more memorable by blessing us with dope b-side remixes and bonus cuts! I remember being ecstatic to find the 12" of "We Came Here" b/w "Hellraiser" remix in the late 90's.

I've seen people stretch and say this, but they forgot Kool Fash left the group after this album, so it can't be the correct answer.

I would say Main Ingredient, Stone Crazy, Street Level... but it's next to impossible

Stone Crazy just fits my era a bit better and niggaz know is the dopest shit on all three albums imo and has made me so much money just off of the pure hype it gives me to get out of bed and want to get out there so yeah.. REAL NIGGAZ DON'T TALK SHIT...

Beatnuts by far. CL smooth one of the most overrated rappers ever too me. AMAZING beats on that album , obviously, but CL just holds it back for me. Meanwhile, street level was prime psycho Les who's one of low key faves.

Voted Pete Rock & CL Smooth out of respect for Pete Rock, even though CL Smooth makes me cringe.

Surprised with all of the hate for CL... always thought he was the ultimate complimentary piece to Pete's smooth grooves

It's not that CL is bad. He is a good complimentary piece like you said, but lyrically, he is kinda whatever. On TMI, he says a lot of cringe-worthy and corny lines too.
