Your 3 Favorite Producers
From this list.. You get to pick 3 since it is a long list. The list could go on and on and I'm sure I missed a few, so speak your mind if you think I missed one of your favorites. I likely did. Plus, I have a limit for poll options. Had to take like 10 off my original list. Esp you west coast and southern fans.

Another pain in the ass poll. I get 2 and then fight to get the 3rd. Then decide I have to re-do it all together cause I start thinking of beats.

Re: Your 3 Favorite Producers
I'd have to go with the 3 who influenced my style the most:
Godfather Don
Easy Mo Bee
Howie Tee
Honorable mention to Salaam Remi, his early production for Fugees, Major Stress, Red Foxx, Bush Babees and Buckshot Lefonque was very good.

Re: Your 3 Favorite Producers
I agree with the the salaam remi comment. Hes done some good stuff in the 90s
Re: Your 3 Favorite Producers
Went with Premier - best of all time despite being mostly rubbish these days, Alchemist as he's easily the most consistent and versatile of the last 15 years and Pete Rock because he's had 20 years of classic tracks for everyone from Alexander O'Neal and Johnny Gill to Jim Jones and D Block

DJ Premier, The RZA, and Marley Marl.
Yeah, boring.
I'll take one late 80s Curt Cazal beat over the combined discographies of Kanye West and probably like 10 other faggots on the list.
My top 20 is pretty much represented here. One glaring omission would be K-Def.

Hell yes, Muggs was dope in his heyday. As far as omissions go, I'd add Kutmasta Kurt, Nick Wiz, RNS and E-Swift.Roy Johnson wrote:And DJ Muggs is certainly in my top 20.

Re: Your 3 Favorite Producers
There is no correct answer. Believe it or not, some people are not on the dicks of Primo, Rza and Pete Rock.
Re: Your 3 Favorite Producers
Don't be mad cuz you got it wrong
Re: Your 3 Favorite Producers
Also south is under represented here. KLC, toomp, mouse, pimp c etc should easily replace a bunch of these on the list imo

Re: Your 3 Favorite Producers
Quik is my favorite out of everyone on that list. Organized Noise being second. I went with Alc as my third just because I loved his early shit and still love his new shit. On a side note Organized Noise new album is trash.
and word to whoever said the south is being slept on. Klc, toomp, mike dean, ect ect.

Re: Your 3 Favorite Producers
Primo is in my top 3 best producers of all time, but for my favorite producers, he isn't even in my top ten. I've been in the culture since 1990 and developed a taste that is singular to all of the Primo/Rza/Dilla fan boys. Also, Mindbender if your reading this ,your a homo. This is just how I feel about the situation, it's really not a big deal.clark bent wrote:not having primo in your top 3 is one billion percent wrongI Smell Like Un Kasa wrote:There is no correct answer.
