Not much I can really add that you guys have touched on. There were no nominations that didnt surprise me. I was shocked about "A History Of Violence" being snubbed.

Brokedick Mountain is going to win best picture because the elitist and somewhat countercultural Academy sometimes likes to choose motion pictures that strip conventional images and ideologies.

I also reckon that Paul Giamatti was nominated for "Cinderella Man" purely on the basis of his snub last year.
