Yeah, great deal for the Nets. Jazz are another team that might be able to fall off the cliff.

Ok, so now Knicks fans can unite on CP3 regardless of his knees, assuming Williams extends with NJ.

Crazy shakeups this year.

^^Apologies for disliking a player. What happened to sports? Disliking a player is fine, as long as you can actually provide some details as to why it is that you dislike him. Otherwise, it's not even worth reading. K. ^Agreed. Credit Denver for getting the Knicks to basically bid against themselve...

^^Apologies for disliking a player. What happened to sports? -Fields/Gallo I think is personal preference. I wouldn't debate it one way or the other. I'm glad we didn't give up both, I think either works as a glue piece. There are certainly a lot of things to prefer about what Fields offers, in part...

Love Derozan now. He got jobbed. And I couldn't agree more. Always thought Dwight was overrated in the dunk contest. There is a fine line between creative and corny. Reason - I want Paul. I don't want to re-hash this argument much, I will say I've seen Paul a couple times recently and you're all rig...

How you don't like this deal as a Knicks fan boggles my mind. The only thing I didn't like was that I would've put my foot down on Denver and told them they were taking Fields, not Gallo. Doubt that would've been a deal breaker for them. Cracks me up all these Knicks fans, "We better not trade Landr...

MLK Day Pony I'm firing on: Aqueduct Race 8) 1 Rift - 8/5 Morning Line usually means 3/5 on your money, sharps might try to beat him in a field loaded with early runners, Rift is the fastest of them all however and I don't think any can press him into a sub 57 3/4 which is the only way I see him fa...

Agreed on Beal. I'd put him right there with Rivers, maybe better. Fuck Boyton, Walker and Rosario - Beal should be the best guard the minute he steps on campus..hopefully Donovan realizes that.

I think Rivers is better than 'Christ. Not sure what 'Christ is he looks like a tweener. Not really knocking him, I like his game...but Rivers ball-handling is otherworldly. Impossible to keep out of the lane and his high school team sucks outside of him so all the focus is keyed on him. His shot ne...

I never understood what the Knicks were doing with this whole Carmelo thing. The guy is desperate to play in NY, everybody and their mama knows it. So why make a trade for him now when you could wait another 6 months, sign him on the cheap, and not lose a thing. Are they that paranoid about losing ...

^Drew II leaving was the best thing to happen...I get your point but it's going to help ultimately, not hurt. Biggest omission from your list is College of Charleston guard Andrew Goudelock. Tremendous player who has carried the team on his back, including against some decent competition. Marshon Br...

Very well said. Disgust was a really poor word choice, not at all what I meant. You're right, he does take a stance, just a less imposing one than we are normally subjected to.

Interesting piece. Can't claim to have read Mark Anthony Neal's chapter, but I think you certainly nailed it. I particularly like this observation: "Premier crafts backing music that does not confine Nas to work within the rugged landscape of a ג€œRepresent.ג€ Accordingly, Nas seems to recognize th...

Love UNC tonight, think it will be another in the line of epics with a very good chance for the outright. UNC is the 6th best team in the country, no one is ready to acknowledge it yet though, but maybe after tonight... Unless Marshall can't handle the ball pressure, in which case I might look like ...

Very nice, what book do you use?

I like the Pack tonight but if I were going to bet it I think Pitt ML is the value because the game seems like such a coin-flip that probably will be decided based on the Pitt front 7 vs. GB O-line.

However, I gotta disagree about Philly having the best sports talk radio. How the hell could anyone even say that unless they were familiar with every city's sports talk radio scene? God bless Mo Cheeks, but that statement shows zero intelligence. Like I said above, I think every city, especially t...

Missed on a few Miami unders early in the season after ridiculously great scoring pace in the first 1/2 or 3/4's of the game when Miami locked up on d. They always would seem to hit a wall and just stop playing d, giving up wide open lay-ups and the total would push over.

Yeah, Francesa is very knowledgeable - especially with a lot of the inner workings of the NFL. Even better than the ESPN ban is the Jets ban. LOL at banning your players and coaches from talking to the biggest radio show (by a mile) in the area. You can kind of understand why he'd constantly bash th...

Grew up on WFan. Used to listen to Sommers while falling to sleep. Mike and the Mad Dog was absolutely sports radio at its finest in my opinion and I find it has made me a snob trying to listen to anything else. Buffalo sports radio is just amateurish in comparison and not nearly entertaining enough...

*Aaron Rodgers MVP (+150) -> Despite picking the Steelers with the points, at these odds vs. -140 for the Pack to win straight up, I think its a steal because I don't see anyone else being MVP if the Pack win. Thought I read somewhere that -156 was the line for QB being MVP. Seems like the better b...

I too hate BYU. Every year their ridiculous efficiency numbers lose me a ton of bets and have killed a bracket or two of mine recently. This year I think they are different though. The team as a whole might be a little less than usual, but unlike the phony star Lee Cummard was, Jimmer Fredette is le...
