Re: Bojack Horseman
Love the show. I'm a sucker for 'Hollywood humor' (started with the critic).
It's a testament to how funny I think the show is that I will endure the shows sadness. Shit goes to some dark places.

Re: Ant-Man
I'm a confessed MCU Stan is though Reason. Just sayin. Second time through didn't fix all the probs, but I did seem to catch more of the subtleties. For example: the did a pretty bad job with villain. That's still true BUT the are a few more cues to his 'madness' being caused by over exposure to the...

Re: Ant-Man
Saw it a second time and enjoyed it a bit more. Thought it was on par with Avengers 2 which I thought was good but not great.
Must say though, all the stuff with Michael Douglas was pretty great.

I'm asking. I think Craig has one more after this. It'll be Bond 25 and I imagine they will have something pretty big lined up for his swan song.

I'm never as hype as the rest of CYE about these type of flicks but this definitely looks good.

Re: Terminator: Genisys (2015)
Not in the same ballpark as the classic first two, but better than the other two sequels in my opinion. :leon: Watched the other 4 over the last two days. Cannot believe anyone would ride for the third, it was as awful as I remembered. Anyway this one was a good start to a new trilogy. Not great, b...

Re: Ant-Man
It's super disappointing that people will inevitably be on the whole 'what if' thing with Edgar Wright.
I get mentioning it, but referring to it multiple times in a review just seems like a no win situation for the film as it stands.

Re: Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
I hope that the movies & TV (particularly movies to TV) can find a better way to acknowledge each other going forward. I was pretty annoyed by the fact that Coulson's existence was completely ignored by AoU. I could've swore their were reports of Coulson's team being on the set of AoU at some point ...

Re: Game Of Thrones S5
Like drizzle was saying, the fire god's power is pretty well established at this point and there's no reason for Melisandre to go to the wall at all if Jon was going to stay dead. It would be realllly bad writing to have that storyline end like that. Yo, this is purely speculative here, but lets wa...

Re: Game Of Thrones S5
there are specific reasons why Jon would be resurrected, both in-narrative (he's the real chosen one, fire god has already been used to resurrect people who have a role to play in whatever, etc) and meta-narrative (without Jon the story has no leading protagonist on the wall/in the north). Yeah, I'...

Re: Game Of Thrones S5
Does anyone else think that bringing Jon Snow back after a death scene like that might be a bit 'cheap' considering the near unblinking history of this show regarding character death?
I mean why not bring my boy Ned back if death doesn't matter all of a sudden.

No way was that worse than the Red Wedding, which was a total surprise and a legit shock. I figured the burning was a forgone conclusion after last episode. Just more of the shitty "ISN'T THIS SHOCKING AND HORRIBLE" writing that's been all over this season. I agree. Maybe I'm Not doing apples to ap...

Man...yo boy George R.R. dont give a fuck about your feelings/emotions. I mean that was worse than the red wedding. Didn't help that they had those scenes right before with her being sweeter/cuter/smarter than Curly Sue, the Pepsi girl and Punky Brewster combined. George R.R. to the world: Fuck yo f...

The wildling chick must've had one of the best 15 minute character arcs in the series so far. True, but how many 15 min story arcs have we seen in the series thus far? I was pissed she died so quickly. Her 15 mins >>>> than the all 3 sand snakes combined for a whole season. And for the record...
