Until maybe the last month I would have said Boom Bap without hesitation, but for the past few weeks I have been rocking the shit out of both records and the trio of MC's Act Like They Don't Know,Free Mumia, and Build Ya Skillz have been trumping the consistency of Return. Plus I've just listened to...

The Fugees are irrelevant. And shouldn't being knowledgeable make one pickier? When I listen to the Digable albums I listen with a less discerning ear because I love the sounds of the album, the familiar jazz loops, the smooth, melodic voices, and of course, the coup de gras: the "vibes" of each alb...

I hope people realize that purchasing these songs will help to ensure that more gems are uncovered in the future, besides just helping to finish out this series and getting the Nas EP. The digital tracks are very cheap, you already know the songs and the quality is top notch...

Mumbles! Yes. Jay-Z absolutely murdered Boxcar Sessions, I'd put Mufi in a similar category (Da' Miilkrate) as a guy who produced about half an album's worth of bangers then just kind of disappeared. Or does Jay-Z have a significant catalog outside the Saafir album to which I am ignorant?

J Dilla, Timbaland and dude who was like Dre and claimed to be better...? whatever. I'm sorry Dilla died and everything, 'cause I'm not gonna wish death upon anyone, especially at a young age, but dying early doesn't equal being great, most of his stuff, especially after he started putting out solo ...

Getting around to these for the first time on a Sunday morning, and though both have nice mellow loops, Sneakers is obviously more of a coolout joint and I'm feeling the emcee's style more right now (even though the O.R.B. mc is better). Sneakers.

And Thank You!

I don't think you qualify as "the people" and I also think your constant hounding of Odnet for his brother's material is quite creepy, especially since you do it in what seems to be a condescending and derogatory manner despite the fact that you obviously have a boner for it. Please stop.

Tha Town that E OAK LOC wrote:%99 of tunes that are good....have jacked someone elses shit... I mean look at Premo and Dre.....Their whole catalogue are 70's funk samples.
I think he was noting the interesting choice of sample-an electric clavichord loop-rather than the fact that it used a sample.
