Up until a year ago you were making "beats" on an SP-808 and whining about in the Sound Lab. Your stage dance with Rhymefest is your life's most notable accomplishment.
Yup. Still doesn't change what a dumb decision you made by voting for the wrong producer.
"Wrong" because he's in a league you'd splooge on your varsity blazer to be placed alongside in?

30% for madlib

obviously not as cut and dried as some of you think.

i'm not saying my vote is right or wrong (no ones is), its just my preference. his deep discography, experimentation with production (yesterdays new quintet for example, or that bluenote and bomb shelter shit) ,collabos (madvillain, jaylib, lootpack) and solo material(quasimoto) give him a slight edge.

what point would that be?

My guess is you have no idea what is and is not produced by ON, just like most people on this board.

MADLIB. I used to hate that quasimoto voice, but the beats were crazy. Maryjane remix- one of my top10 joints. Not to mention how much ahead of the game he is right now. He's been doing outlandishly ill shit in the past 5 years. N this is coming from a cat that would've smacked some1 for trying to put that boney quasimoto voice in my boombox in the late 90's. Stop sleeping on this cat, he's the next level........
........not to take anything away from ON,they are great producers as well, maybe better , hard decision for me. But I had to go with my personal favorite of the 2. 5 years ago,ON. 5 years from now, maybe ON. But , right now, madlib

Well.

Madlib's earlier work with Alkaholiks and Lootpack was pretty cool. Most of his new shit isn't really to my liking.

He's a solid dude, but not all that.

I think his later productions got weird because he works with a lot of wack rappers. Bad associates will do that to you.

If you voted for Madlib you basically are what's wrong with hip-hip and should die in a mediocre production fire.
