I love what Nas did with N!gger (5 years from now, people will realize how important that album is), and Heltah Skeltah's DIRT, and P Dub (Shines Regardless's) HNIC 2.

Devin needs to be in the most disappointing poll. Landing Gear was just not very good, especially by his standards.

Disappointing doesn't mean "worst" by the way.

Oh, and I like Fun DMC. It's cool.

Damn, completely forgot about the P Brothers' The Gas. That's definitely among my top 5 or so of the year.

Did eMC even come out this year? For some reason it seems like it's 2 years old.

Yeah, March 25th of this year. Haven't played it since it first leaked, although I might pull it out again since it seems to get a lot of praise here.

Right, but these polls aren't based on the leak dates.

Al Green and Chin Chin both made dope albums in the non-hip hop category.

I disagree how bad you guys think Large Pro's album was. I don't think it was the greatest but I found myself bumpin' that shit.

ABN, MURS, Atmosphere, Lil Wayne, David Banner, Killer Mike, The Roots, and Elzhi made some dope hip hop albums.

Best:

- Heltah Skeltah - D.I.R.T.
- Young Jeezy - The Recession
- Nas - N.I.G.G.E.R.
- Black Milk - Tronic
- The Roots - Rising Down
- G-Side - Starshipz & Rocketz
- ABN - It Is What It Is
- Killer Mike - Pledge Allegiance To The Grind Pt 2
- Elzhi - Europass

I loved these albums. The Nas and Roots albums were still disappointing at the same time, but Black THought and Nas are still good enough mc's to keep the albums up at the top.

the Black Milk joint was probably my favorite album of the year all things considered, followed by G-Side, Elzhi, Heltah Skeltah & Jeezy.

Large Professor - Main Source
People Under The Stairs - Fun DMC
Termanology - Politics As Usual
GZA/Genius - Pro Tools
Nas - Untitled
Q-Tip - The Renaissance
AZ - Undeniable
these are ur opinions or what the board thought?

large pro, gza, and q-tip dropped some of the best albums this year

the az and buckshot are OK, nothing mindblowing but they are not terrible. buck needs to work w/ other producers

the roots album in the 'best' category is LOL. the beats were absolutely terrible, didnt even sound like hiphop. lyrics were fine, saigon's verse is crazy

how are you guys hating on the q-tip album, it is good music and maybe the best album of the year (after the P BROTHERS)

oh and to add a couple others to the best list

dela - changes of atmosphere (foreign producer w/ american mcs, if u havent heard it, download it, u'll thank me later)

el da sensei/returners - global takeover

and judging from snippets the reef and ditc albums will be good

and for disappointing, add blaq poets mixtape, forget the name
