Great idea to have the patrons mouth the lyrics with a melancholic expression. I like both versions, but I like this one a bit more. It just seems right.

the chick in the video is my suicide girl in 8-9 years. she just got her first job waiting tables and blows my phone up texting me the details. I really enjoyed this version and having worked in restaurants for most of my twenties and dated almost exclusively these kind of women this song hits close to home.

I loved many a waitress and will love many a more.

The one dude at the bar looks like ryan reynolds dressed as a fisherman.

Dids can pick out any diner in the greater Seattle area just by the countertop. Quite a skill, really.

'Cause that Pink Elephant carwash sign is one of the more iconic things in Seattle and the street shots looked familiar.

dids. my bad, i asked a dumb question.

hustle. we actually filmed this one first, but i didn't want this to be the one with the push, i wanted something more silly like the song is.
so we pushed the tek deck one.

this one we didn't put any push behind, just threw it up on youtube to set up the next one (glasshouse) that will come out next month.

My response looks snarkier than it was intended.

Because I do this when I walk and listen to music- I've kinda thought up videos for Glasshouse and The Waitress. Kinda interested to see how close to reality it ends up.

I will now drown in a hail of arrows.

This has a very Christian vibe to it. Is it a Christian video?

What makes me laugh with confusion is how much push you guys put into "You." It's beyond comprehension and I can only imagine how much you're giggling behind it all. As far as I can tell it is the song that initially received the coldest response when the album dropped...but you performed it live on national television TWICE....and you did TWO videos for it. I just wanted to say this out loud so I can go back and read this and know if I'm crazy or not. This is on some promotional level that goes beyond my realm of understanding, and it must be working so all I can say is..."that's gangsta."

However, I really look forward to the Glass House video. Stop playin' around and release that bad boy.

"You" was the song that most people said stuck in their head in the original thread about the album IIRC. I can't think of a better song to really push hard off of the album.
