I changed this thread, here was the original post:
A while back they released the acapella on a few Check Your Head reissue 45's:
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/sh ... on=8,0,0,0" width="335" height="28" id="divplaylist"><param name="movie" value="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7642807-4f2" /><embed src="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7642807-4f2" width="335" height="28" name="divplaylist" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashpl ... d></object>
A few weeks ago they released this instrumental:
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/sh ... on=8,0,0,0" width="335" height="28" id="divplaylist"><param name="movie" value="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7583319-45d" /><embed src="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7583319-45d" width="335" height="28" name="divplaylist" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashpl ... d></object>
Yesterday they released the hook to a few random people via their mailing list.
And someone put it together so here it is...B-Boys in the Cut
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/sh ... on=8,0,0,0" width="335" height="28" id="divplaylist"><param name="movie" value="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7642787-488" /><embed src="http://www.divshare.com/flash/playlist?myId=7642787-488" width="335" height="28" name="divplaylist" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashpl ... d></object>
Digging the beat, but lyrically they seem to still just be amusing themselves, but whatever, I like it. They are doing some shows. Would have been cool to see them with the Biz.

seriously. I am glad it happened, but I never saw it coming or ever thought to myself while listening to Hello Nasty,... "man, Nastradamus would rip up 'Intergalatic'"
even though they are somewhat going through the motions on this "b-boys in the cut" its got the funky drummer style and it feels like a return to form.
I feel like this new album has serious promise, especially with a name like Hot Sauce Committee.
also this album better have a Biz Markie appearance, even if its just him chatting in the studio. "Do It" has been in heavy rotation lately.
in fact, beasties and biz should do an EP together.
now that is a serious nerd out fantasy collaboration

Your name is yohan and you post on a forum NOT about the smurfs.
and I'm on topic. quit de-railing.fag.
what's wrong with it is yohan has no personality to speak of nor any original jokes.mud wrote:As shitty a poster as Crash is, what is wrong with that?Yohan wrote:

Should he stop listening to rap and start listening to country or something?
his post count is over 2 g's and couldn't recall another one right now to save my life.

So my last post is your first to remember. And here comes #2. I would actually be happy if this didnגt save your life, would mean one less worthless mouth to feed on this world. Itגs a start. wrote:what's wrong with it is yohan has no personality to speak of nor any original jokes.mud wrote:As shitty a poster as Crash is, what is wrong with that?Yohan wrote:

The fact that I donגt use Philaflava is my personal online diary doesnגt mean I donגt have a personality. It only means I keep shit to myself. Look, Iגm not here to call you a faggot in 325 different ways and viciously son you, we got Thun and Employee for that. All Iגm doing is stating facts.
I mean, look at yourself. Youגre a man in his fourties whose biggest accomplishment in life is getting sonned on a messageboard. Just look at your location? What self respecting man would write גlol-ersvilleג in all caps? Donגt you have to be either under 7 years old or borderline retarded to do that? That fact that you live in a 6 by 4 feet trailer wasting your life trying to גmake it as a rapperג also doesnגt help you.
You remind me of this:
To conclude:

doesn't really count as a comeback when you've released records consistently:starks wrote:i literally hate the beastie boys
the idea that they're trying to come back in 2009 is rofl.
can't wait to see this album do 18k
To the 5 Boroughs (2004)
The Mix-Up (2007)
Hot Sauce Committee (2009)
I mean sure, most current bands have to release a record every year/year and a half to stay relevant, but this is a band from the 80s still going strong... ain't no comeback here.

The last album sold 360k in the first week. This will do close to the same. I am guessing around 250k-300k in the first week. I think you underestimate how much white people love the beastie boys.starks wrote:LOLRandom Sample wrote:You are an idiot. Album will go platinum in less than a month. I agree. The album will do very well, even in this climate. Beasties have cross-genres and with that came fans, listeners and supporters of all kinds. If they strictly catered to the hip-hop audience then you'd probably be right but at least 80% of their sales will be from the Lollapalooza type of cats.Random Sample wrote:The last album sold 360k in the first week.
