A & E

Post by cenzi »

please redirect me to the A&E thread...

until then, sheeeeeeeit! I have been bumpin the new Masta Ace ad Edo G album non stop.

I had to give it a thread because there is too much focus on hating on Gucci here and not enough on proper respect for golden age artists like these two who came almost perfect with their album.

The one track with Plug1 made me wish that he was part of the whole project. Yet the other track with KRS made me realize that my top 3 MC should be bumped down to top 20. That far down.

The album also ends with a dance hit techno-ish shit song about people getting drunk and dancing like white girls.... dumb...

but as per usual, Masta had to make it a concept album, so the album is pretty tightly produced..

anyways..
I just had to give my  to the Music Man and the Roxbury Hero.

That Little Young video is incredibly on point and dope.
Haven't spun the whole album yet, though.

I agree. The production to me is piss poor and this is a wack effort by two emcees I thoroughly respect. Just wasn't feelin this and I could elaborate more, but I don't feel like it.

I found this album disappointing, Ed sounds bored through a lot of it and I wasn't feeling a lot of the production, Ace and Ed are capable of so much better.

The shit that Ace is wearing in that Little Young video is hilarious. Shit is straight out of a Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz video.

I think what killed this album was the beats. Pure Blandness... kind of reminded me why I hated DE La's Grind Date so much. It's very similar in the production dept.

Grind Date>over this album for me anyway, yeah A & E is very bland, they could have got better producers.

'Little Young' is fucking fresh. Some of it wasn't inspired, some was a home run. Glad they did it still

Yeah no shame in making an album like this. They both sound kinda tired tho

I thought some of the beats were too soft. But Edo came correct and Ace was cool as alwayz. Little young and 8 is enough are bangin. They said some funny ass lines all over the album. I likes it.
