I was looking forward to the new Ice Cube album...

Post by Philaflava »

even though i had low expectations for it. cube was one of my favorites growing up so i'll always check for his projects. this new one just might be the last though.

apparently it is all about putting his two sons on. here is a taste of what the album will be like. fuck o'shea. has there ever been a rapper who's son was really good?

lol at the ALBUM album being all about putting them on. This song maybe, and yeah it's terrible from the beat to everything about it, but I don't think it's a fair representation of what the album will be like. Anyway I know he's got a few Why We Thugs, It Takes A Nation and Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It type of tracks in there too.

One thing, maybe this is supposed to be a microcosm for how he's the real west? Crooked I, Moses Malone and all them talking about the new west, they're like his sons and they have no place coming at him, or something like that. He's been talking about setting the new generation straight so maybe this is an early part of that campaign.

Cube was just beefin last year :

"What's up with these local MC's in L.A. who keep disrespecting me? They're just mad cause I don't fuck with they wack-ass. They ain't on my level, why should I waste my time. I don't even remember ever meeting these clowns or even being in the same room with any of 'em. They can't make a name for themselves so they need help from the O/G's. I refuse the throw'em a life line. Fuck'em. It ain't my job to make nobody famous. And for the record, I ain't scared of no nigga. Especially, no rappers....."

Cube is a faggot. Raw Footage will be his last album I ever looked out for.

funny thing is both sons are better than cube on that track. It's a weak verse, but anyone saying cube doesn't have it anymore isn't listening. His 06 album was dope, the last one "raw footage" was inconsistant but had some jams.
1. Nas
2. Drake

that's pretty much it fam.

The contradiction, caveat, what have you, I am really annoyed at is..

Cube disses Young Money and Drake directly in one of the songs.

And then his son, OMG(terrible name) bites the fuck out of their style.

Nah, just light-skinneded. Maybe biracial but definitely not white.
