http://www.thesource.com/blog/post/5834 ... On-Mr.-Cee
Earlier this week, as all forms of media platforms overflooded with news of Mr. Cee's recent arrest, I noticed early on that the Rap Radar Capo Elliott Wilson remained uncharacteristically quiet on this ever unfolding situation. I mean, even King Of All Media Howard Stern weighed in on Cee's series of unfortunate events. True story, Wilson's silence was so deafiningly loud that I personally reached out to him via Twitter dm to get his opinion, more importantly, why he stayed mum on all of this. What I got was more silence.

Having such an important voice in this home we call Hip Hop, Elliott most definitely had a responsibility to speak. This afternoon (April 7, 2011), in his 'editorial' Blackout section of his site, Wilson finally and very candidly opens up as to his perspective of Cee's predicament:

Wilson: "Turn my bomb on. Only thing worse than a rap radio war (what year is this?) is the week that my dude Mister Cee has had. Finally the slander has subsided some so let me share my thoughts and feelings. The whole thing still bothers me so much. Yup, I hesitated reporting the Cee incident when it first broke 'cause I didn't want it to be true. When the police report came, I finally allowed B.Dot to post. We live in a social media-fueled world where an embarrassing moment can quickly turn into a national scandal. Transgressions with trannys? Go get your popcorn. The rap community has been tryin' to crown a Gay Rapper since One Nut magazine was killin' trees. The sad truth is homophobia and hip-hop have always walked hand-in-hand. I'm with my old chum Curtis on this, Cee held down Kane for years and brought the world B.I. Often in the shadow of Funkmaster Flex, Cee is one of the greatest DJs in the game. Period. His Throwback at Noon show is still my favorite hour of Big Apple radio. With all ears on him, his mix this past Monday was amazing. Although he's yet to release an official statement, Cee was speaking to us through his Serato. Sorry kids, I don't care how Calvin gets down in his personal life. I support dude. And I hope he can overcome all the craziness he's going through. Team Nasty African. Turn my bomb off."

Dope shit. I personally share in dude's sentiments as I shared last nite on my Combat Jack Show. It's way past time we as a culture took solid steps to put a moratorium on homophobia in Hip Hop. We're better than that.

What's really interesting is though, is how in just one week, we've all taken liberty to freely use Flex's bombs. BOOOM!

Did anyone give a fuck that Michael Jackson was getting with them kids?
Pretty similar scenario, I figure. People hold dude's past in such high regard that his present day actions get a pass.

Watch for them adam's apples, people.

Not quite dude. I think that the practice of pedophilia is far worse than getting hood suck from a tranny hooker. Isn't that obvious?

Say what you will, but we will never know - beyond a shadow of a doubt - whether or not MJ was guilty or a victim of extortion. Mister Cee is guilty of a marginal, minor offence, where he is as much the victim as anyone.

Sorry I ruined the thread by saying that I don't hate gay people or have a problem with consensual adult activities.

Sorry, I should have clarified that. Some famous guy, I don't remember if it was a rapper/singer or actor, supposedly said something about letting his chick play with his ass. The forum ( I think it was AllHipHop) was going crazy about how much of a gay faggot he was. I made a short post, pointing out what I thought was obvious, that gay males have sex with other males- and that regardless of how kinky some dude is when he is fucking a chick ( not tranny), he is in fact not fucking another dude. So, I pretty much got run off the site because I am a "gay faggot."

Therefore, I really don't have a problem with this.

I realize in SOME "rap" and/or "hip hop" circles, this type of pro-liberty thinking is almost blasphemous.

I still remember the time I was on another "hip hop" site and I was told that I was definitely a gay faggot ( i think I was also told they were keeping the place "faggot free in 2003" or something like that).. because I said that a man doing a sex act with a woman was not gay sex.
