true. i enjoy to a degree. i've gotten to chop it up with Shunda K. from Yo!Majesty and check out other artists like them. its nothing i'd play everyday but, it fits a mood.

And I'm not saying the Nicki comparisons aren't deserved, I just hope she keeps making shit so that we don't get stuck with her 6-songs-every-8-months work ethic, thus making her "the girl who sounds like Nicki on house music".

And this crop of female rappers making songs over dance records is basically a direct response to all the neon-lit clubs cluttered with college-aged white people discussing their shoegaze revivalist band schedules.

And I love 90% of these songs.

The EP is the perfect format for rap. I like that shes not releasing a bunch of mediocre shit just to stay relevant.

I think she deserves props for doing something a bit different from just buying crappy Lex Lugor beats and 2 Chainz verses. Shes charming and talented enough to catch attention on her own merit. Her sound is only Nicki-esque at first listen, shes much more skilled and her choice of production is more exotic and exciting.
