rhyme-wise, Canibus is still many levels above Dizaster but may or may not misinterpret what kind of lyrics to bring to the event. Diz on the other hand has a wealth of material to reference, and will probably have heartbroken borks around the world sending him Canibus fail moment punchlines to use. LL Cool J's ears are already tingling.

performance-wise, Dizaster is at the very top of his game as a battle MC in a live environment, and Canibus will need to learn how to project his voice farther and bring out the bottom end if he wants to make a bigger impact than Diz.

this should be the defining moment of battle rap in 2012.

I, personally, think battle rappers that try to make it in the industry are stupid. They should just focus on turning battle rap into big business, but nobody actually wants to work at doing things. So they rather try to make music, a few will get signed (some have already), get a 360 deal, get fucked in the ass, and be broke with no album to ever see a release date. Unless you're established, you're not making any money in music right now, except for live shows. And the average rapper who doesn't have a hit makes less than 500 a show (In the states). The big time battlers in URL make 7 K for mainevents. It'll take 14 shows and hours and hours of performing to equal what they'd make for one URL battle, that'll be 9 minutes of their time.

Only one right now that I think has a real shot of being more than a run-of-the-mill-signed-to-a-major-rapper is Tsu Surf. Who is generating a pretty decent buzz with his music. I can actually see him turning to a Kendrick Lamar type (Not in terms of rapping style/music wise, I just mean in terms of having a nice cult following in both the underground and some mainstream)
