Jay Electronica has a song produced by my homie Rich Kidd that features Beyonce. It's supposed to be a single, apparently, but... :kanyeshrug:

If J.Cole can go gold, so can Jay Electronica. Fuck that. J.Cole has no hit songs bigger than "Who Dat" and that song isn't a "Simon Says" at all.

Jay-Z needs to do one song with Jay Elec, produced by Just Blaze, and have that be the lead off hit single. Anything less would be uncivilized.

Last week, Jay Electronica tweeted that his album was completely done and had already been handed in to his label, Roc Nation. Well, according to Questlove of the Roots, Roc Nation boss Jay-Z doesnג€™t feel the album is complete because it ג€œhas no singles on it.ג€

LOL
No

Shit is not funny

Opposite of LOL
just loling at jay-z reasons for not releasing this shit.

doubt we'll see this album this year anyways.

Uhhh "Work Out"? Bitches love "Work Out". 31 million youtube views, it's on the radio every 2 minutes, 'bender. Kids care about and relate to J. Cole so they buy his music. Kids dont care about the weird 40 year old spiritual lyrical dude with the shriner's hat on. Unfortunately.

questlove was on the comedy podcast the champs & briefly brought up the jay elec album. he said basically exactly what was quoted in this thread & added that he considered jay electronica a "self saboteur" as far as his career is concerned

I was going to write basically the same thing after reading his post. Jay Cole is 1000X more marketable and popular than Jay Elec will probably ever be unless Kanye produces his entire album and him and Jigga are all over it.

So reminiscent of what happened to Saigon once he got signed. But at least in the end he finally released his album and it lived up to the hype as the best album since Illmatic.

"I love that, I want to support that sort of energy. I want people to be creative and not traditional, not just a single [at] this time, this time [and] this time," Jay-Z told MTV News on Monday, when he was in Philadelphia to announce his two-day Made in America music festival. "You know, he operates at his own time, but the album is really close."
But Jay-Z assures us that there is an album and that it's pretty damn good, if he does say so himself. "It's exactly what it should be ג€” it's amazing. Him as a lyricist is almost scary. He's scary good," Jigga gushed. "I'm doing something to it that's really untraditional, so we'll see how it works."

It seemed like the perfect union ג€“ a marriage that brought together two of the countryג€™s wealthiest families.

He was the multi-millionaire son of the late financier and tycoon Jimmy Goldsmith, she a scion of the Rothschild banking dynasty.

But now Ben Goldsmith and his music producer wife Kate, who have three children, are to divorce after she embarked on a passionate love affair with an American rap singer named Jay Electronica.
